About David Shinn

When my wife and I travel we always stay in vacation rentals. Not only have we found there's no better (or more comfortable) way to enjoy our adventures, we've also been exposed to some wonderful and charming owners. They've always helped enrich our experiences and made our stays more interesting and enjoyable.

Having lived in Dallas for over 30 years, we'd like to offer that same level of care to our guests. We want to help them experience Dallas in new, different, and exciting ways.

We've owned this property for some time. When it became time to renovate the property we decided to investigate a vacation rental option.

After researching furnished rental opportunities in Dallas we discovered there were few quality opportunities. Considering this property's unique characteristics, central location, and complete renovation made it an easy decision to bring it to market and offer it to you.

Our hope is that you enjoy the space and make staying with us a regular event.

David is a very nice person to deal with he responded very quickly when we needed him. The house needs alot of attention the front door is not secured, the lock is wobbly, the Bath and bedding are dirty coverd with stains and the balcony has not been cleaned for a long time, there are lots of cockroaches in the house. It's a good location very close to all you need but it needs a good attention. I would to stay there again if the apartment is updated.

Owner's Response: Livinus thanks for the review. Since you stayed for almost a month, it's curious that you did not reach out to me regarding any of your issues at any time during your stay..... As with all my guests, if there's a problem or concern, all you need to do is contact me and I make it a priority to deal with and solve all issues. Your comfort and safety is paramount to me. This property was built in 1929 and yes the front door is a little wonky, BUT it does lock and is secure. In addition there is a second door for the upstairs unit that is double locked. All linens, bedding, and towels are thoroughly cleaned between each guest. But, if you're staying for a length of time, it's up to you to maintain those items..... All my properties are organically fumigated on a monthly basis. Livinus my advice to you for future rentals, if you have any issues or concerns contact the owner/ manager immediately!!

Great property, great location!

This was a great property, in a great location with a great host. It was very clean and organized. The rooms were spacious and the kitchen had everything you needed. Very close to shops and restaurants in the Greenville area. There was always spaces to park on the street.

Charming apartment in quiet neighborhood.

We enjoyed our stay. Apartment was within walking distance to some neighborhood nightlife. Neighborhood is friendly and clean. Close enough to downtown that a 10 minute uber ride will get you there for around $15.

Great place - excellent location!

Our biggest complaint: the toilet paper. Current stock is razor sharp, so you might want to BYOTP! Otherwise this is a wonderful place for a long weekend. Porch is amazing, there's plenty of space, and the location is fantastic!!!

Great location!

This was a nice townhouse. Had everything we needed. Walking distance to alot of places and a short drive to others. Owner left a book with a list of places around the area that was very helpful. Loved the balcony. Remodeled kitchen. The rest was older but quaint and well kept. Owner was very responsive to all questions. One mattress was not all that great but otherwise I would recommend and would stay again.
