BelleAire Landing is the perfect Chesapeake Bay retreat for a family vacation or a group of friends to get away from it all. The house sits on 1 and 1/2 acres within a 17 acre tract on the banks of the Choptank River. Enjoy your days outside under the many shade trees, lounging on an Adirondack chair above your own private 400+ foot sandy beach, or watching spectacular sunrises and sunsets from the covered porch where there are views of more than two miles of water.
Bring your kayak, canoe, sailboat, bass boat (with small motor) or tow a small runabout. There are numerous small creeks to explore, so don't forget your fishing gear or crab nets. Cycling is also enjoyed throughout the region. If you are also considering waterfowl hunting, there are duck and goose hunting packages available. The blind is approximately 30 yards offshore, directly in front of the property. Call to learn more as well as to check on open dates.
Newly renovated, this 3-bedroom home offers one-level living with a private bedroom wing, and lovely open concept living and dining. High ceilings, generous room sizes, and tasteful, uncluttered decorating, make the home very comfortable for a diverse group. Rinse off in the outdoor shower and come in from the heat. There is a pool table and an indoor shuffle-board, poker/card table, games, puzzles, books and DVD's to 'borrow' while you are here as well as comfortably furnished space for gathering or leisure.
Boats can be anchored on the beach or just above the wall if easily lifted. A put-in on an inland canal, which opens into the river, is available, if necessary. All can fish and crab from your boats, the beach and the bank running along the canal. Boat house and crab house are off-limits.
We stayed here with friends and my 4yo son. Everyone had a great time! The beach was a lot of fun - all sand, no seaweed, mud, or jellyfish. There are plenty of beach and yard toys in the closet. Yard is huge - great for football/soccer/frisbee.
Gorgeous views and sunsets. Grill was enjoyed. Outdoor shower was a wonderful idea!
We didn't spend much time inside, but the big screen with cable, dvd library, pool, shuffleboard, board games, etc. would provide plenty of entertainment for rainy days. A/C works well.
Kitchen is well stocked, and has a wonderful big picture window view of the beach.
Owners were very friendly and great to communicate with.
This simple but well-kept cottage was a treat for our family. It was clean, air-conditioned for the hot days, with a beautiful natural beach and a sandy bottom to the river for great swimming. Enough room for friends to visit for the day and play cards inside, play in the water, bask on the beach or sit and watch the river roll by. We had a great time. Will want to return again once the kitchen repairs are complete.
we had a perfect vacation. Where else could you go and have the water at your back door and deer roaming at the front,
plus a short drive to very many excellent restaurants. enjoyed the Suicide Bridge Restaurant the most. Very relaxing place.
Our family spent the long Labor Day weekend here and loved both the spotless accommodations and the expansive view of the Choptank River. The sandy beach that lines the property is terrific, and the river--which is wide here--has lots of nooks and crannies that we explored in our two kayaks. The property owner and manager could not have been more responsive and helpful. This is a great value.
Wonderful vacation! The house was just right, the property was secluded but close enough to everything we needed/wanted and the private beach was fabulous! Having all the comforts of home, pots, pans, tableware, etc was perfect. The beach was white sand, clean and soft and went so far out into the water, no muddy, sludgy yuck just wonderful soft sand. Everyone loved fishing, the kids had a wonderful time. The owners and the property manager were great! They were very responsive, kind and considerate.... just exceptional people. We would love to go back again!
The property is just terrific. The house is comfortable, well appointed, and close to town. The water access and private beach make it just outstanding. There is a great, large tree close to the beach that provides wonderful shade while just feet away you can sunbathe. We will definitely visit again.
Indoor Shuffleboard, croquet, and badminton are available at the house. Fishing is available in the Choptank River from Burton pier, which parallels the Choptank River Bridge, or from your own boat. Hunting waterfowl is available on request. Please check with owners about this before making plans. Golf is available at many lovely public courses including Hyatt Chesapeake Resort and Clearview at Horn's Point as well as two courses in Easton and one in St. Michaels.
There are many restaurants in the surrounding area including: Cambridge 10 minutes, Trappe 20 minutes, Easton 25-30 minutes, Oxford and St. Michaels 40-45 minutes that offer a complete range of choices. Exploring these charming towns is possible by car or by bicycle. Don't miss the World Famous Waterfowl Festival weekend in Easton--2nd weekend in November. (Check Dates). The Ward Museum in Salisbury is of interest to many. Blackwater Wildlife Refuge is 16 miles away. Bring your kayak to explore the many water trails.
