Great and inviting!

  • 5 of 5

We arrived to find a home that was very inviting. Large enough for us to all have our own space when needed but small enough to spend our vacation together. The back patio was a fantastic place to sit a listen to the running water and relax. It is located within walking distance to all restaurants and shops. We absolutely loved our stay here.

Cozy little home in the perfect location...could not have been happier with our stay!

  • 5 of 5

From the moment we arrived, we felt at home...the house was very comfortable and beautifully appointed...we had everything we needed for a nice long weekend. The location was perfect for exploring the area...within walking distance of many interesting little shops and restaurants and just a short drive to all of the attractions in/near Colorado Springs. The back patio was absolutely wonderful for sitting outside and enjoying a break from all of our running around...the sound of the creek rushing by was very relaxing and could even be heard from the bedroom at night. I could go on and on about how much we loved our stay really was the highlight of our trip.

There was only one thing that I can mention that wasn't perfect...the mattress on the sofa sleeper was thin and very uncomfortable...all of the metal support bars could be felt through it and it was too painful to sleep on no matter what position I was also very noisy each time I tried to re-position. Ended up just sleeping on the couch after the first restless night...but my mom and niece were very comfy in the king bed. :) Likely not an issue if you don't need the extra bed for an adult, but if you do, you'll definitely want some extra padding (children may not even notice or might be able to lay sideways). I really can't think of anything else that wasn't great about our stay here...we loved it and are so glad we found this place! Thank you so much for sharing your home with us!

Owner's Response: We're extremely sorry that you had a bad experience with the sleeper sofa, Melissa. We're also grateful for your honesty - this will definitely spur us to upgrade the sofa mattresses in both properties that we manage. If you should decide to stay with us again sometime, please mention something to me and we'll discount your rate. Thanks again! --- the Pruitt Family

Nice little one bedroom house.....

  • 4 of 5

We spent 7 days at the little blue house. The furnishings were up to date and very comfortable. Downtown Manitou is just a few minutes walk. Owners were very helpful with suggestions on where to eat and other activities. Overall we had a very nice stay and this will be one of the places we concider when we return.... The only real drawback is that parking could be challenging during peak times.....

This house is perfect. The photos do not do it justice. The kitchen is completely stocked and fully functional. The grill outside has propane and ready for action. The back porch/deck is lovely. It was the perfect place to unwind. Large, beautiful trees with a creek made it one of our favorite spots to plan our day and unwind each evening. The living room and bedroom are large and very comfortable. The king bed was very comfortable. The location is great. Walking distance to the shops and eating spots. And just minutes away from Garden of the Gods, Cave of the Winds, etc. We are counting the days until we can return. i can't end this review without talking about the owners. They are amazing. Greg is wonderful and really went out of his way to make this trip happen for us. And Melinda is amazing. We called with an issue on the TV setup and it was addressed immediately, She called back the next day just to make sure everything was OK. I left my tablet behind and she went out of her way to make sure it was returned to me. She is so kind and gracious - I feel like we are old friends.

We loved staying at the Little Blue House On The Creek! It was perfect for two people. We loved sitting on the back patio and listening to the creek rushing relaxing. The house was in walking distance to the historic part of town and we walked through town everyday. I highly recommend staying here and we are planning to return again the next time we are in Manitou!
