FOX CHASE - This new listing has a very peaceful setting overlooking a beautiful gazebo, pond, bridge and lighted fountain. THERE IS NO FISHING ALLOWED IN THE POND.

It has Mountain Views and is close to everything Asheville has to offer. Whether you're a foodie, beer lover, antique collector or outdoor enthusiast, our home is centrally located for you to enjoy everything the area has to offer.

Downtown Asheville and The Biltmore House/Estate are less than 6 miles away. The Blue Ridge Parkway Entrance is less than 4 miles away with spectacular views and hundreds of beautiful hiking trails. After touring our wonderful city, relax and enjoy a peaceful setting by our pond and feed the koi fish or sit by the pond in the wood swing and enjoy the pond fountains.

This property is perfect for families, couples or anyone who wants a peaceful, natural, mountain experience while being close to everything at the same time. While drinking your morning coffee, watch hawks, blue herons, and many other birds enjoying the pond each morning.

The WiFi is high speed cable. All living areas are on one floor and easy to navigate. Entry has a security/weather camera. As noted in the first photo for this property, the rental is the lower level.

Although we are pet friendly, the rental is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized after each guest's visit. Dogs must be approved by owners PRIOR to booking. The pet fee is $75 for the first dog, and an additional $25 for a second dog. That is the maximum number of dogs that will be approved unless the owner consents and additional fees would be applied.

As we have worked hard to create a peaceful setting, it is not suitable for loud or late night partying or large gatherings. If you are planning a family reunion, we have an additional rental on the other side of the pond which sleeps six (VRBO property #708010).

Just a note: The address for this rental has been changed by the Emergency 911 system to 10 Heron Pond Lane, although it is in the same location. It does not yet show up on any maps or GPS as of yet. Use the directions provided. If you book this rental, you will receive a Vacation Rental Agreement and, if approved, for dogs, a Dog Guidelines Agreement. You must sign and return this agreement(s) within 7 days to the address provided in the Agreement(s).

About Bob Spear

We fell in love with Asheville and the mountains, and this beautiful property. The large pond had so much wildlife that we couldn't resist. We are from the Midwest and the mountains here are stunning.

Why Bob Spear chose Asheville

We have been coming to Asheville for several years and decided this property was perfect for a custom home. We bought this land a few years ago due to its private and natural setting. This custom home was completed in late August 2012.

What makes this house unique

This property with the gazebo, large pond with two lighted fountains, bridge and island is what is unique to this area. It is a wonderful place to relax, whether on the wooden swing or picnic table next to the pond or building a campfire in the stone fire pit and fixing s'mores. Your private patio is a perfect location to have coffee and breakfast in the morning while listening to singing birds. At any one time during warm weather we have ducks, herons and other birds. There are koi fish in the pond who like to be fed. A large gas grill is provided for your bar-b-q needs. The home's interior has high end finishes including wood floors throughout, granite counter tops and stainless appliances. Also, you are close to everything, but still have this private setting. We are just a few minutes from downtown Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway. It's a great place to relax after a long day of sightseeing.

Heavenly Private Retreat

This is the perfect place to stay if you are looking to unwind and relax in your own private retreat like setting. The property is absolutely beautiful and extremely well maintained inside and out. It is very spacious and ideal for a family or two couples traveling together. The photos really don't do it any justice at all! There are not many properties where you have your own pond with koi fish, fountain and firepit. We wish we could have stayed longer and will definitely stay here again in the future.

Quiet and Cozy! Just what we needed!

Thanks for providing such a clean, cozy, and modern / updated rental. So many times when you rent places you don't know what you're gonna get till you arrive. Your listing and photos were as described and we were very happy. We like to cook some on our vacations and found nearly everything we needed. We spent one full day in just vegging and we really appreciated the fact you have a DVR and movie channels on your cable service. We love do how close your rental is to everything! When you're visiting a mountain town, curvy roads are to be expected so people should know everywhere you drive in and around Asheville is an experience.

We Loved how close this unit is to the Blue Ridge Parkway Visitor's Center and Folk Art Center also.

We can't wait to come back and explore all of the fun outside activities Asheville has to offer and we'd definitely rent this unit again. Very private and cozy. Thanks so much!

Beautiful surroundings

We had a wonderful time submerged in the beauty of Asheville. The grounds were lovely (although the fountains did not flow or light) but it was still a little paradise. We traveled from Charlotte to meet our daughter from Nashville so the spot was perfect. The only unfortunate thing was the kitchen layout which limited our T-giving dinner prep space BUT, it didn't matter at all ... just meant we spent more time together :) Nicely maintained and incredibly spacious both inside and out ! Would recommend it for sure !

The fountains are turned off in the winter months so that they do not freeze. We welcome you to return in the spring or summer to see how beautiful they are when they are on! The kitchen was not designed to be able to provide large holiday meals, however, we have provided a rolling island that is normally in the dining room, but can be rolled into the kitchen for extra prep space. How nice that you were able to spend Thanksgiving with your daughter. That is what holidays are all about. Thank you for leaving our property in such wonderful shape and we would welcome you back anytime!
