A 3 bedroom/2.5 bathroom home for rent on Santa Cruz's Westside. Arranged in a 3 story format, the master bedroom and bath are on the 2nd floor along with a half bath. The kitchen, dining area, and living room are also on this floor. There is a fire place located in the center of the room as well. Downstairs, 2 smaller bedrooms and a full bathroom. There is an enclosed patio on the front porch, as well as a large deck in the backyard equipped with a propane fire pit. The 3rd story is a small loft area that can serve as an additional bedroom area or a second living room. From up here, you have a partial view of the ocean and the wharf.

The house comes with a full kitchen and dining area, a washer and dryer, and garage. There is a small, covered patio off the second story with stairs down to the ground floor that provide access to the backyard deck and fire pit. The washer and dryer are located on the first floor.

Located 2 blocks off W. Cliff Drive, the house is within walking distance of the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk and the Santa Cruz Wharf. It is also close to the Santa Cruz Lighthouse and Lighthouse State Park, making it ideal for anybody who wants to take a scenic walk along the coast. For those willing, downtown Santa Cruz is also a modest 15 minute walk.

I love Santa Cruz and my brother and I were able to purchase a home there. It's a fun city to vacation in and we have family in the bay area, so it made sense. And living in Fresno, it provides me a great place to get away to the coast.

What makes this house unique

There is lattice work along the front of the house has morning glory growing up the house. It is within walking distance of downtown and the wharf, and you can go for a run or walk in several directions, all of them with something interesting to see. I loved having a loft on the top of the house where you can see the ocean and hear the sea otters from the wharf if you have the windows open.

Ideal Bar and Grill

The Santa Cruz Wharf and the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk are both within walking distance from the house. On the wharf, you can enjoy a number of quality restaurants and the ability to go shopping. There are also sea lions at the end of the wharf. You can buy fish and feed the sea lions as well. For breakfast, Gilda's is really good as well as the Dolphin Restaurant at the very end of the wharf (near the sea lions). For dinner, my favorite is Riva's. And of course, Stagnaro's brothers is quite popular for their clam chowder.

The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is a free admission amusement park with an arcade and lots of rides. If you haven't ridden on the Giant Dipper in Santa Cruz, then you are missing one of the great roller coasters of all time. There are rides for all ages as well as other attractions (rock climbing wall, laser tag, etc.)
