About Denise Cline(daytime) Debbie Burriss (evening)

This house was purchased by our parents for $7,500.00, which was a lot of money back then. This house was built by JC Long in 1950. Our parents renovated the home purchasing old Charleston brick for the exterior. The home looks like a plantation home in the movie 'Gone With The Wind'. This was the look our mother wanted to have. She searched all over and found these bricks in a downtown building that was being demolished. This is why the house is called 'Gone With The Beach'.

In September of 1989, Hurricane Hugo roared through the lowcountry and all of Charleston was hammered. The next several years were rebuilding years for all.

Now in 2012 we remodeled the house and invite people to check it out. It is a very comfortable place to enjoy the beach and enjoy time with family and friends.

Why Denise Cline(daytime) Debbie Burriss (evening) chose Charleston Area

This is a comfortable, affordable family home, one block to the beach, minutes to marina and golf, shopping and entertainment. We have walked many times to dinner at the Long Island Cafe and to the front beach area.

Great house for everyone, whatever the age or interest with two seperate great rooms, each with 42' flat screen tv's and playroom/game room with futon, game table withbig screen tv and dvd player. Game rooom opens to upstairs deck with bench seat and table and chairs to catch the ocean breeze.

Great house for families, golfers, or girls weekend.

What makes this house unique

Beautiful new tile floors downstairs, completely new kitchen with island and bar stools.Open Kitchen, dining area and downstairs den with 42' flat screen tv. Large dining room table, will seat 8-10 people. Lovely old charleston style, brick patio with large outdoor table and chairs. There is also a deck on the second floor, with concrete patio for additional outdoor dining and relaxing.

Guestbook comments from the owner

What a wonderful place to stay. The kitchen area is very comfortable and easy for everyone to not feel cramped. We will be renting this house again next year and would like to stay 2 weeks!!!

Lovely vacation

  • 5 of 5

Our 2 families spent a week in your home and had a great time, 7-9 of us depending on the day. The home was just as pictured. Very clean and nice. It's a short block to the beach amd we went every day. It was easy to get to Charleston but you do need a car. Only thing missing were extra blankets for the futon and couch. Grocery store on the island was pricey but close. It would have been nice to have some brochures available on things to see, but we found our way. Would recommend to others.

A Great Family Home

  • 5 of 5

WE enjoyed our second vacation in this lovely home and found it to be again in pristine condition....a truly walk in an enjoy home. With a well equipped kitchen, 3 tv's and lots of room to spread out and relax. We enjoyed the house and a shady back yard for doggies and grilling. This is a well kept secret in IOP. Thanks to Gordon for a quick response to a question...

We enjoyed a wonderful spring weekend at your home. It was large, comfortable, close to the beach and had plenty of room for our nine guests. The televisions were great for watching the Masters. I would recommend this home to anyone wanting a wonderful place to stay in Isle of Palms!

Relaxing vacation

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful week at this house in Isle of Palms! There were four of us plus our dog and it was extremely comfortable! The house was well furnished, clean, and very close to the beach, where we went everyday. We ate almost all our meals in due to the newly remodeled kitchen which was stocked with everything you need to cook meals. We used the charcoal grill almost every night, and sat on the upper deck to enjoy the breeze! Our dog also enjoyed the fenced in yard :) Beautiful house, great location, thank you Gordon for being helpful and accommodating! We hope to come back!
