Our 2/2 is newly remodeled. The condo has all new furnishings, comfortable beds, granite counter tops, new appliances, flat screen T.V.'s, and designer touches everywhere. Desirable quiet second floor location. The unit is situated far from all of the road noise, bordering the natural green way behind the complex. The master bedroom has a King sized bed with a memory foam mattress topper and new linens. It also has a ceiling fan, A.C., two dressers, a flat screen T.V. and DVD player. There is a custom upholstered window seat, with a view of a open field, so all you hear is the birds not the road, sunset and a slight ocean view. The Master bathroom has private, three piece, newly redecorated bathroom with granite counter tops. The guest bedroom has a brand new queen size bed with a memory foam mattress topper, and new linens. It has a mountain view with cool Kona breezes, a ceiling fan, it's own A.C. The guest bedroom also has a wireless printer with a fax machine. The second bathroom three piece bath that has a bathtub/shower. There is also a stack-able washer and dryer. The living room has a couch with a comfortable footrest, two comfy chairs with reading lamps. There is a flat screen H.D. T.V., with TEVO, a DVD, CD I-pod player. The living room has it's own A.C. and ceiling fan. The Large fully equipped kitchen has all new appliances, with granite counter-top, all new pots, pans, dishes, cutlery, glasses, coffee maker, blender, toaster, mini food processor. The refrigerator has a ice maker and water dispenser. We have a large counter top with bar stools, and a kitchen nook to enjoy meals. Our lanai has two chairs to relax and view the Kona sunset or bird watch in the morning. Our lanai closet is stocked with chairs, boogie boards, ice chest, snorkel gear that you are free to use. The complex has two wonderful pools with a BBQ area. You are near all the activities, dining, and shopping on the Big Island! Our condo is centrally located. One 1.5 miles from town, which makes an easy walk, bike or drive to great shopping and dining. The complex has two very well maintained pools, a large BBQ area. There is a deli/convenience store across the street and a open air market near by. The Big Island has several wonderful beaches on the Kona side, the sunny side of the Island. A rental car is highly recommended to be able to take full advantage of everything there is to see and do. Including: World class snorkeling with sea turtles is just a few minutes south. My husband and I love Hawaii and hope to retire there someday. We love the slower pace of the island and how diverse it is. We both love the outdoors and sports. We love to swim, bike, surf, hike, and play tennis among other things. The weather on the Big Island lets us enjoy all the sport we love all year long. We purchased our condo in 2005 and have enjoyed renting our condo out to family, friends and VRBO guest on a semi limited basis, usually to returning guests, so you will see that there is not a lot of availability. We have a 30 day minimum stay. Our guests are hand picked, and know up front that they will be coming to stay awhile and make our home their home. Our condo is in the Alii Lani complex that is very well maintained. The condo is situated across the street from the beach. There is a couple of spots you can walk to for viewing whales, dolphins or the amazing Kona sunset. So if you are looking for a place to call your second home for awhile our condo is just right for you.

We choose the location because we wanted to be in a quiet area of Kona, but still be centrally located. We are located on Alii drive, across the beach from the Ocean. Our condo has wonderful kona breezes and a view of the ocean and sunset off the lanai. We are only one mile from Kona town where all there restaurants we love are located. We are near great surfing and snorkeling beaches, and have found many hidden beaches over the years.
We have recently re-decorated our condo, have new carpet, paint, window treatments, furnishings, art, counter tops. We have all new dishes, pots & pans. We have exceptional bedding and our beds have memory foam mattresses for a comfortable night sleep. We have AC and ceiling fans in every room. I have beach chairs, beach towels, boogie boards, ice chests for our guests to use. We are hoping that our guests will come back to our condo year after year, and make our condo their second home.
I have stayed at this beautiful condo 3 or 4 times. Each time was amazing. It is conveniently located by snorkel beach where I have often seen many sea turtles. It is also just a mile or so down the road to downtown Kona to shop and hit many great happy hours. The condo itself is very clean and like brand new with everything state of the art. I enjoy Kona much more than Wakiki and I have been to the Hawaiian islands at least 15 times. Anyone is lucky for the opportunity to stay at this beautiful condo. My husband feels the same & he is traveled the world many times being Force Master Chief of all Navy Seabees.
Perfect base to call home for a long trip to the Big Island. Jan is a great communicator and provided a clean, tidy hale filled with everything needed for a perfect stay. Great energy about the place. Peek-a-boo view of the ocean from the lanai makes for lovely leisurely morning starts and perfect endings to big days. Furniture is comfy (crucial for a long stay), kitchen is PERFECT, bed is so comfortable that you want to sleep in every morning. And block NN is very quiet and private. Highly recommend Alii Lani and in particular the Harrington Condo to anyone wanting to feel like they're in a custom home away from home while on the islands. Mahalo nui loa, Jan! :)
We have stayed in this condo twice and both times it was an excellent value. The condo is well equipped and is nicely located in a quiet area. We walked to town (1 1/2 miles) and enjoyed the shops and the marketplace. The condo has a nice BBQ, pool and library area. The condo is on the second floor so is fairly secure. The beds are memory foam mattresses and are very comfortable. The owner, Jan, is very easy to talk to and very accommodating. We would definitely stay here again.
We stayed here for 2 1/2 months from December 2015 to February 2016. During that time we had an amazing stay at the condo! It had everything you could think of and more. We had guests 3 times during our stay and found the second bedroom and bathroom set up ideal. The unit was extremely well stocked from beach towels to kitchen items. The decor was a relaxing color combination and very well suited for the location. We used the pool a few times and found it to be wonderful! Many times I was the only one there. We'd definitely recommend Jan's unit to our friends.
Exceeded expectations! You can never really tell from pictures and descriptions what your actually going to get when you get there but when we pulled into the complex and opened the door - WOW! Don't know where to begin. Cute as heck, clean and well stocked with all necessities. My daughters took the king size "suite" and my wife and I the other. Separate bathrooms and showers - superb. Comfy beds, and awesome night time breezes with the windows open.
Jan allows access to the boogie boards, snorkel gear, beach mats, coolers, etc, which all came in handy at different times. The pool - spent almost as much time in the complex pool area as we did in the condo when we were "home". Awesome hot tub, BBQ area which we used quite a bit, and great area for tanning and lounging in the shallow pool. Clean and well maintained. There are two pools in the complex but the one that is closest to this property is twice as nice as the other and its only like a 1 minute walk.
Location was great for a short walk to the store for my morning paper, ( 2 or 3 blocks maybe) and we made lots of walks to town ( 1.5 miles ) and back. Great as well for auto travel as being on Alii you have easy access to any main route if your out to sight see and do all the touristy things. Complex was quiet and relaxing.
Jan was great to deal with and very helpful right from our first contact. Sent us a list of stuff to see and do on the big Island weeks before we even left Canada. Easy to contact by phone when we had a few questions and prompt to our needs.
This baby is a gem! If the Canadian dollar ever climbs above 70 cents ( lol ) we would not hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting the Big Island. Great Value, great everything!
My wife and I spent the month of April in this condo. Everything was as pictured. Although the complex is large, we had zero problems with noise or any neighbor issues. Not only is the condo super well maintained, but the outside common areas are constantly being maintained, quite beautiful. We spent every morning on the lanai with coffee enjoying the birds and geckos. Have already booked March of 2017. Jan was always easy to reach, or very quick to respond. The TV having DVR recording capability helped to maintain my sanity by avoiding all the commercials. TJ's Barbeque was our favorite eatery, just half a mile south. Rated #1 on trip advisor for good reason. Looking forward to our return.
My experience in this condo was absolutely amazing. being away from home for a month normally would be very difficult, but it felt just like home. Jan was a pleasure to work with and we were treated like family. The condo amenities made our stay such a pleasure, it was clean and organized and included countless items that saved our family thousands of dollars. The condo had all of the kitchen, laundry, bathroom, hiking and beach items you would ever need. The condo had an HD-DVR and the beds and furniture were comfortable and it was decorated beautifully. There are beautiful views from the condo and its only a short walk to the beach and all the shopping and restaurants in Historic Kailua-Kona. The pool and hot tub were very nice, much needed and never crowded. I don't think there is a hotel in Kona this nice and for the money probably not another condo!
Centrally located on the Big Island. Our condo is on the world famous ALii Drive, where Iron Man is held once a year. You can walk across the street to the ocean, walk to town, or take the shuttle from Alii Market place, located next to our condo that takes you up and down Alii Drive to the shops restaurants, pier, white sands beach, or to the world famous snorkel beach. Our condo is located in the Alii Lani condominium complex, an extremely well maintained condominium complex, beautifully landscaped with a gorgeous pool. It is 1.5 miles from Kona town. Our condo sits at the top of the hill in the complex, and has no road noise from either Alii Drive or Kuakini Highway. It is an upper unit that looks over an undeveloped field where you can enjoy a wide variety of native birds. Sunsets from the Lanai are simply too beautiful to capture on film, and you can catch a glimpse of the ocean and even see the cruise ships when they are in the bay. Inside the condo: All new beds, bedding, furniture, appliances, electronics, ceiling fans and air condition units. We have tried to anticipate our guests every need, the condo is supplied with beach gear for four including chairs, towels, umbrella, ice chests, snorkel gear, and more. Every small appliance and cooking device I could fit in the condo and it is all sparkling new. We have flat screen T.V's, and a DVD player with a large selection on DVD's to choose from. We have HD DVR, High speed internet, and a printer. This is our own home away from home. We truly love our condo and strive to share and bring the Aloha Spirit to each and every guest hoping that they too will make this their home away from home. Our condo is not suited for 'spring-break party seekers. In-fact, we have a strict 30 day minimum stay, and encourage our guests to stay even longer.
