Great location. Very clean. Owners were very accommodating. The gift certificate to restaurant was a nice touch too. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
My family enjoys getting away to enjoy Thanksgiving together and this year we wanted to visit Manitou Springs. After reviewing a lot of properties in the area, we chose this home and wow, were we pleased. This place was fantastic for a family--nice kitchen, upstairs and downstairs bedrooms and an easy walk to Manitou's main street. I can't think of a single aspect of the property we were not happy with; the description was accurate, property was clean and the kids loved the homemade cookies from the owners that were waiting for us when we arrived. I would definitely recommend this property.
This home was absolutely perfect! Upon opening the front door, it can be seen that the owners take great pride in this vacation home. The home was very clean and provided perfect accommodation for 3 adults traveling together. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could need, including top of the line appliances. The location is a great home base for seeing everything in the Manitou Springs area including the Cliff Dwellings, Garden of the Gods, 7 Falls, and Pikes Peak Railway. It is also well situated for longer day trips and offers comfortable accommodations when returning. We enjoyed dinner at the Keg, especially on Wednesday when meals are on special for $11! Coffin racing was an awesome event, and we enjoyed voting for our favorite skeleton displayed by merchants in town. Trick or Treating was also a good time, seeing families in costume trick or treating at each merchant in town. We would definitely return to this rental should we ever be in the area again. Communication with the owners was excellent and there was much information provided in the rental about the local area.
My husband and I rented this home for 8 days. My daughter and her fiancé were with us. We were in Colorado for my daughter's destination wedding at Briarhurst Manor Estate down the street. This home was absolutely perfect. We were all actually sad to leave. The home is beyond precious and unique. From the moment we walked in off the wrap around porch and found cookies and a beautiful wedding gift for my daughter and her fiancé...to the incredible walk out deck upstairs to a fabulous view of Pikes Peak....the whole house was warm and inviting. The icing on the cake was the family of deer that visited the front and back yard....the thoughtfulness of the Owner and his attention to detail did not go unnoticed...it was very much appreciated...such a treat...we will definitely be staying here again.
Cozy, well appointed two bedroom two bath cottage with great outdoor space and off street parking. It's an easy walk to dining and shopping in Manitou Springs and a short drive to hiking and sightseeing. Owners have spent time making sure the home is comfortable and all the basics are in ample supply. The beds are super comfortable, and you can dine inside or outside on the multilevel deck.
A nice surprise home and a great balance of historic and modern decor. Greg did a great job of making sure we were welcome. We attended USAFA's parents weekend and location was perfect for our daughter to get away. The home is walking distance to downtown Manitou and within minutes to Garden of the Gods, Pike's Peak and Cave of the Winds. Fantastic location and nice quiet neighborhood. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you Greg!
