Wonderful Family Vacation
A great home to relax and spend time in. Peaceful neighborhood, nice location, close to Bigfork, and lake. We would definitely stay here again.
Thank you so much Kris for your review! We knew that you guys would love it. Please keep us in mind if you decide to return to Big Sky country for another visit!
this beautiful home is just that and a little more ! janet was so helpful and there was much thought and care throughout the house . thank you so much for adding warm memories to our vacation
Thank you so much for the great rating! We are thrilled that you enjoyed your stay at our Glacier Getaway and we hope you consider us for any future stay up here in the Flathead Valley!
It was a beautiful home in a subdivision
Our overall experience was very in adequate....the plumbing was leaking which we reported to the owners. There were no top sheets on the bed and 3 towels in the one bathroom upstairs. Used a dish towel for the downstairs bath. Also, it was misrepresented...IT IS NOT 500 feet from the lake...it is two and 1/2 miles at Wayfarer Park...we bought a lot of float devices to have fun on the lake thinking it was 500 feet from the home. Also, there is NO way it sleeps 10 people. We left 3 days early. Having spent a large sum to rent this place and thinking we were 500 feet from the lake, I will give it a one star. I believe we should get a refund on our cost...We certainly sent our money on time to the owners.

Well, we are certainly unhappy that you did not enjoy your stay at our home, but it is clear to me that you did not read the contract nor did you even bother to read the description of the place on the website! The home is clearly advertised as being 600 YARDS from Flathead Lake and it is not lakefront nor is it lake view. The "plumbing" issue was just the tub overflow cover that a previous guest had cracked and did not inform of us of. The downstairs bathroom is just a powder room (again, if you had read the website thoroughly you would have realized this) and thus doesn't get stocked with bath towels. The repair was made 2 days after you informed us of the issue. After your stay, we asked our cleaning crew to verify that there were the promised 22 towels and they assured us that the towels were fully stocked. We went out of our way to provide this guest with complimentary float toys, fishing lures and even advice on where to fly fish near the home as well as 2 kayaks free of charge! We even left them a bottle of locally sourced Mead to enjoy and we didn't even recieve a simple "thank you" from this guest.
Finally, the website is clear that the home is best suited to accommodate up to 8 adults and 2 children, NOT 10 adults! In the future, we would suggest that you read both the web page and the contract carefully so that there is no misunderstanding of what both parties are agreeing to. A simple clarifying phone call to us would have cleared up any issues.
Beautiful Home - Owner is Great to work with!
This home was so beautiful was only minutes from our event. lots of space and very pretty. location was nice to our kids were able to play outside as we sat on the Nice Deck. We will be reserving again next year. The kids can't wait either they already want to go back.
Thank you for your kind words! We loved having you and your family stay at our Glacier Getaway, and more importantly that you had a great time in Americas Last Best Place. We would love to have you guys back next year!
A spacious family home
A good spot for a family. Plenty of room for everyone in a quiet neighborhood. Beautiful decks for outdoor dining.
Thank you for the fine review! We are thrilled that you and your family enjoyed your stay and welcome you back if you need a place in Bigfork again in the future.
Spacious house with fun layout
We had a group of 7 adults and 3 children for my dad's birthday this summer and even though forest fire smoke obscured a lot of the mountain views, we had an amazing time!
My first impressions of the house were that it was even larger and more open that it appeared in the photos with the lofted upstairs and natural light from all the windows. It was also surprisingly cool when we arrived, which was likely helped by the stone floors on the ground level. The upstairs bathroom was partially open-ceiling, which was unique and I felt complemented the modern feel of the home.
The kid loft room was a great touch (my nephews were thrilled to see superhero artwork and "poo emoji" pillows on the love sac) and having a roll-out bed made sleeping arrangements that much more comfortable. There were portable air-conditioners in the kid loft and one of the bedrooms, though we only used the fan mode and that seemed sufficient to cool things down in the evenings.
The property owners were very helpful and courteous even before officially booking--they reached out to clarify that the property was not actually ON the lake, in case we were expecting access from the property. There was a public launch less than a mile from the house and we had no problems taking our jet skis to and from the launch (there's also a gas station on the way to fuel up).
For those expecting vistas from the house, there are adjacent neighbors on one side (though we never saw them during our stay) and private property with a rock pile and a few marine trailers down below the house; however, there is ample natural beauty all around the property and a balcony for every room (except the kid loft).
We prepared and ate meals at the house (gas range and modern appliances, as well as a barbecue grill) and there were restaurants and grocery options a few minutes up the road (Bigfork was probably 10 minutes away with a few restaurants and small local shops; Kalispell was about 25-40 minutes and had Costco).
Flathead Lake is one of the most beautiful areas I've ever visited and this house was a great way to relax with my family. Thank you!!!
Thank you very much for the good review! We enjoyed having you as our guest and hope you pick us for any future stay in America's Last Best Place, Bigfork Montana.
