Bologna Skyline, our beautiful, elegant, cozy 2-room apartment with a special feeling to it, was designed to offer the tourist, the corporate person, the family and whomever needs to be in Bologna for a limited period of time a centrally-located accommodation at the top of comfort, convenience and quality-price ratio.
Completely refurbished in May 2012, our apartment is part of an elegant, modern residential complex located in the Porta Mascarella-San Donato area, a central key location to all spots in town – Piazza Maggiore, the Fairground, the railroad station, the University, all reachable in a few minutes walk with stores, shops, banks, restaurants, etc. surrounding. Connected to the rest of the city by the very efficient Bologna public transport system (city bus – stop right at the door), Bologna Skyline features its own parking facility (underground garage) and a rather large, totally accessible park and playground area in the back of the complex. All the above make our apartment the ideal solution for small families with children as well as those wiling to move around either by bus or car.
Light-filled, extremely comfortable, perfectly functional and safe with its sturdy anti-intrusion door, the apartment was renovated in May 2012. It is composed of one bedroom (two single beds that can be assembled to make a queen size) with a desk and a chair, a large living-dining room with a very comfortable queen-size foldup sofabed, a fully-equipped kitchenette, a bathroom (shower) and an amazingly beautiful furnished terrace with a breathtaking view over the roofs, the towers and the hills of Bologna – the ideal spot for your alfresco dining and relaxing, a wonderful feature that would make your stay an unforgettable one.
A top-floor apartment, Bologna Skyline features absolute quiet in an amazingly comfortable environment. Furniture and furnishing were chosen with the utmost love and zest, mattresses and frames are new, firm and great for your back, all linen (bathroom, bedroom, kitchen) are top quality and provided at no extra charge. A washing machine, a digital tv, an excellent heating system and all primary appliances are provided together with free, 24/24, 7/7 wifi internet connection. The apartment is air conditioned.

Cute, Comfortable, Safe and Convenient!
We loved our stay in this Bologna apartment! The space is clean, open and light with full length windows opening onto the deck.
The property is gated and secure, with safe underground parking, but is very accessible to grocery stores, cafes and the Bologna shopping districts. We walked everywhere in Bologna and only used the car for travel outside the city, but there is also a bus stop right outside the property.
What a wonderful apartment!!
Our family of four (teenagers!) had a really lovely stay in Alessandro's lovely, well appointed apartment. Thanks to its layout, and its large spacious balcony, we didn't at all feel scrunched up. Communication was excellent, and Alessandro went out of his way to welcome us. He was also quick to respond the few times we whatsapped him with queries. The kitchen was well equipped (there was a bottle of white from a local Bologna vineyard in the fridge on arrival!), beds were very comfortable, and on those hot July days, the air-conditioning worked perfectly. The balcony was perfect for early mornings and evenings. Alessandro was very kind in allowing us to check out late so that our daughter, who had fallen ill, could rest till our train time in the afternoon. Thank you! Train station and a couple of supermarkets are an easy walk away. There are many books in the apartment on the region that came in useful. Also lots of travel adaptors! We had rented a car to explore the region, and visit the car factories (make advance reservations!), and this apartment building was ideally situated for the purpose. From the balcony you see the spread of the terracotta rooftops, Le Due Torri, and many of the old watch towers for which the city is famous. Bologna is a university town, and thriving. Its piazzas were full till early hours of the morning, and listening to an outdoor summer concert was one of the highlights of our stay there. Marvelous!
Week in Emilia - Romagna
The Apartment was within a short walking distance from the train station. We were met by the owners wife Maria who was extremely helpful and informative. The Apartment was well situated within 15 minutes walk to the centre of Bologna with excellent views of the city from the spacious balcony. It was an ideal size for 2 people; comfortable and clean and wine in the fridge!. There were some excellent guide books and maps of the area available to guests. Easy Access to the Apartment was via a lift and we felt safe and secure. It was particularly hot during our visit and although the Apartment had air conditioning it didn't appear to be effective enough to give us relief from the heat at night. Location is perfect for enjoying the wonderful cuisine and beverages available in Bologna also its proximity to the train station made it easy for us to travel the region ( Venice approx 1 hour ; Modena 30 minutes) using the very efficient train service.
Thank you so much for your review. As you yourself noticed, we are having an unbelievable, very unusual hot Summer this year, this is why the ac system seemed not to be effective enough. We have replaced the old thermostat with a new, more powerful one though, and set the default low temperature even lower. It works beautifully now - while the city seems like melting in the heat - wow!

Modern, comfortable, very secure apartment with fantastic views over the city. We were warmly welcomed by our professional host who met us at the gate. The apartment was very clean, well equipped and very comfortable. Lift to the 11th floor. We loved sitting on the sunny balcony for breakfast. It is quiet in the block, no noise at night. Slight traffic noise from the main road below. The apartment block is located 10 minutes walk from the train and bus station, an easy walk with a suitcase, and 15 minute walk to Place Maggiore. There are two supermarkets within a few minutes walk.
Bologna is a lively, interesting city; a place to experience the Italian lifestyle; steeped in history and art with lots of restaurants, bars and great shopping. It is also a brilliant location for travelling by train to Florence, Venice, Ferrara, Faenza, Modena (Ferrari) etc. We spent two weeks in this area and will be back for more.
I stayed in this lovely, well-appointed and immaculate apartment for a week in February while I was in the area for business. Alessandro and his wife have set up the apartment with every possible convenience (great kitchen, lightening-fast internet, lots of comfortable touches). It is convenient both to the old city and to the train station, set in a very quiet and secure high-rise complex (elevator to the 11th floor, and to underground parking if needed). The balcony allows a great view of the old city, and a long wall all of windows (including one that opens to the balcony) means that the apartment is flooded with light. Of course, when you want to sleep, there are the exterior blinds to darken the apartment! The setup is very smart, with two twin beds that can combine into a double, and a sofabed in the main living area. This would be comfortable for a small family or a group of friends. I would stay here again in a heartbeat, and have already recommended this apartment to friends.
We are at the gates of the Medieval Center of Bologna, so nightlife, fun, gourmet restaurants, shopping, leisure and all are just one step beyond. The vibrant Friday & Saturday Clothing and Flea Market is no more than 400 mts., the train station is 3 minutes walk, the Fairground is 8 minutes and Piazza Maggiore only 15-20 minutes. This is a key area for all the interesting spots in town with an important plus - no mess, no hassle.
