About the property

Rosary Gardens is a beautiful street in South Kensington. This property, located between the Cromwell Road and Old Brompton Road is conveniently located near both the Gloucester Road Tube Station and the South Kensington Tube Station, on the Piccadilly Line. The two bedroom/one bathroom accommodation is within walking distance to both the Natural History Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum. This beautiful residential area around The Boltons and Onslow Gardens is very sought after in central London. The flat is one stop on the tube line to Knightsbridge and the shops around Harrods. Guestbook comments from the manager

I can't believe that it has been a month since I was in London!

I stayed in the Rosary Gardens flat along with my adult daughter and a family friend who are similar in age (+/-25). We are so happy that we found your company on line and were able to experience living in the South Kensington neighborhood for our stay- as opposed to spending 7 nights in a hotel.

Aside from cost savings (which is considerable!), the experience in our lovely flat was priceless. The flat itself was clean and nicely furnished, and was big enough for us to have comfortable meals, space for rest and downtime. The kitchen itself was small but well stocked and once we figured out how to use the washer/dryer combo everything was perfect.

The master bedroom was really nice- with a great comfortable bed with a down comforter and the windows provided light and a view of the neighborhood behind the building. There is more than enough closet space in the master bedroom to handle quite a few suitcases of clothes etc. The twin beds in the smaller bedroom were also comfortable and warm.

One of best advantages of staying in the property was being in a neighborhood. We had the choice of exploring the local pubs, restaurants, grocery stores, florists, etc. in our neighborhood or just being able to make a great meal in our flat and enjoy a glass of wine. The location was really convenient with the Gloucester Tube Station a few short blocks away and we were able to see quite a few of the "must-see" attractions in London with easy access and always with that great comfortable couch and comfy bed waiting for us at the end of the day.

Everyone we dealt with at London Connexions was great; from Christine helping me with my booking and the change of properties, to Ricardo who was our very pleasant and helpful "greeter" at the property itself, and finally David, our driver, who gave us great tips, gossip and UK news - both on the way to our flat and then back to Heathrow and home to the US.

This was my "dream trip" as I have been an English history fan for years and have wanted to visit not only London but other areas of the UK as well. We really felt like we were able to "live" in London for a week and not just visit. That is what made this experience so priceless.

Great Location! Great Flat, Even with Young Children

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in Flat C for 4 nights in early November and were thrilled with the stay. The flat was well appointed and perfectly equipped for my wife and I and our 2 children (3 and 5). The location can't be beat, just a short few blocks to Gloucester Road - on the tube line from Heathrow! There are two grocery stores and plenty of restaurants within minutes walk while still being on a relatively quiet street in a beautiful neighborhood. We were very comfortable but - most importantly with little ones - we were able to get anywhere with ease. We didn't have a need to reach anything that couldn't be reached using the District, Circle, or Piccadilly lines, all available from the Gloucester station. Two thumbs up!

Disclaimer: The Flat is on the 2nd floor (3rd floor for Americans) and even being close to everything we regret not bringing a stroller ... things are still far a part when you get to your destinations throughout the day. We would stay here again in a heartbeat, just thinking of you parents out there!

Great choice

  • 5 of 5

Our trip was great. We had lots of fun. That was our first trip to London. We enjoyed every single place we visited. We enjoyed most of all our apartment. It was the right size for my family. It has all the amenities needed. We loved its location. It was close to the tube, hop on hop off bus, delis, and dining places. Our driver was also great. Our greeter was very helpful. She met us in the apartment at 12 midnight, and helped us with the luggages. It was by far the best vacation we had so far. If I go back to London, I will be definitely stay in the same place. I will also recommend it highly to all my friends.

Mostly good but lacking charm

  • 4 of 5

Previous reviews have highlighted the convenience of nearby Gloucester Road and South Kensington stations. They are on the Piccadilly Line, which takes you to and from both Heathrow and the West End. Local pubs and restaurants are good. The neighbourhood is attractive, although the flat's building is a little run-down. The flat itself is configured for travellers. I cannot imagine living there and trying to cope with a kitchen that small: there is almost no counter space; cupboards are also minimal. The washer/drier is quirky: drying takes ages. Elsewhere, the iron was marginal and the ironing board was broken. The second bedroom is not as shown in the photos on this page; it consists of two single beds in a narrow room. The master bed is the equivalent of a North American double, not a queen-size. The beds, though, are very comfortable and the bedding very nice. And you had better like white. All the walls are starkly white. What is not white (countertops e.g.) is mostly black. Do not, therefore, expect the apartment to be as charming as the neighbourhood. Wi-fi is a little weak: streaming video caused it to overload. Check-in was thorough and pleasant.

Ideal location

  • 5 of 5

My family of 3 stayed here last month. The location is ideal in south kensington-one block off a main road and a quick walk to glouster road tube station. Lots of pubs and restaurants in easy walking distance, lots of sites within easy walking distance. The flat is comfortable and spacious for London. It is bright and sunny, especially when the sun comes up very early.

We really enjoyed the flat very much. Everything was just perfect for my adult son and me. We had everything we needed. I love this location - close to a great tube station (three lines), grocery store, coffee shops and restaurants all right there. Ricardo explained everything so we had no problem with the dishwasher, heating etc. Thank you so much. I would definitely stay here again. If you ever have any special offer on let me know - it might inspire me to take a spontaneous trip!

Would highly recommend. There was construction on next flat (8:00-16:00)- but no bother at all as we were out most of the day!
