Guestbook comments from the owner

Great location and very comfortable

  • 5 of 5

We spent 2 enjoyable nights. Great neighborhood with tons of restaurants. Highly recommend the Metropolitan within easy walking distance.

The apartment was exactly as described. Building very quiet. Located at the end of a dead end alley off the main street. Tricky to find.

Make sure you understand how to use the dryer. We could not figure it out even though we thought we knew.

Tatania was so nice to take our wet clothes to the Laundromat to dry them since we were leaving that morning.

I highly recommend the apartment and would certainly return.

Apartment and Location Couldn't Have Been Better

  • 5 of 5

We spent three wonderful weeks in this Marais apartment. I fell in love with it the minute Tatiana opened the door. It is so bright and airy and Parisian. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom well appointed and the courtyard was quiet and charming. We have stayed in three different neighborhoods in Paris and this was by far the best location. I definitely look forward to staying here again.

Perfect for our stay!

  • 5 of 5

This is a darling apartment in the Marais, very close to Metro line #1 which takes one easily to many of Paris' major tourist attractions. Don't be put off by the entrance off an unremarkable alley. The apartment itself is light and bright, very comfortable and well stocked with all the amenities. The internet connection is fast and dependable (a big plus for us), and there were several news stations available in English on the tv. One caveat -- the bed is very comfortable but quite low to the floor in the European fashion. It was a bit challenging for those of us with bad knees, but that is a small thing and we did just fine in the end.

There is an excellent boulangerie close by for baguettes and croissants, a gourmet store just downstairs that offers excellent cheese and pates, and standard French groceries (Franprix and Monoprix) very close for all the basics. Not only is this apartment a good base for Paris sightseeing, it is located in a lively and interesting neighborhood which offers great walking around and cafes.

I'm already dreaming of our next visit to Paris and hope this apartment will be available again. It was just perfect for our stay!

Beautiful Clean Bright Apartment

  • 5 of 5

I am a nervous Nellie but the owner appeared to be kind, kept in touch and I was very glad I went through with it. We arrived in the middle of a very busy Marais to a long alley way with a gate at the end (no number) but after meeting up with Tatiana at the exact time specified, navigating the courtyard and going up in a small elevator, we emerged into a quiet brightly lit comfortable apartment, a perfect oasis with everything very close by. Tatiana arrived at the exact time specified and our stay was a pleasure. Croissants each morning from the neighbor bakery. We would definitely go back.

A perfect stay!

  • 5 of 5

A charming flat, indeed, in a lively and fun neighborhood. Our family of 4 (plus a grandpa for a few days) stayed here. The flat is ideal for 2-4 people, but Ivo helped make it work for us. The flat is exactly as advertised and as you see in the photos. Windows overlook a lovely courtyard where we were serenaded by a pianist and a singer one afternoon. Really lovely! Despite the location in the heart of the city, it was very quiet at night. We slept well. The flat is well-appointed with every need thought of--including a straw bag so you can hit the local markets and shop for food. We ate breakfasts in the flat, running out to the local patisserie or boulangeria. Markets are a close walk away for other needs. Many lovely restaurants and bars nearby. There is a helpful book of information and a shelf full of guidebooks in many languages. The flat was spotless and well-maintained. Hot water and a lovely remodeled bath and kitchen. Tetyana met us at the times agreed to and gave us all the information we needed, despite our minimal French and her minimal English. I would highly recommend this VRBO listing. We will definitely stay here again. Merci beaucoup!!!
