About Wayne & Kimberly Pitts
The owners, Kim and Wayne, moved to Albuquerque for graduate school at UNM and fell in love with the Southwest. They built the house when their boys, Forrest and Walker, were little. Kim decorated it with furniture, handicrafts and art from their travels throughout Latin America. Wayne's job moved them away from Albuquerque, but they kept the house and hope to return to live there one day. Forrest and Walker also attended UNM. Walker is now in the Army and Forrest is working full-time. The Land of Enchantment has captured our hearts.
Wayne & Kimberly Pitts purchased this House in 2000
Why Wayne & Kimberly Pitts chose Encanto Village Hoa
This house is perfectly situated with easy access to I-40. The owners invested in this part of town because they enjoyed the appeal of living in the southwestern quadrant of Albuquerque. The house is close to Old Town and there are a lot of nearby attractions for children including the world-class zoo, the aquarium and biopark, the Children's Museum, and the Museum of Natural History. There are also some fantastic New Mexican restaurants nearby.
What makes this House unique
Because we built the home using a custom builder, we were able to add some special features. From the moment you enter the hand-carved front gate in the courtyard to the carved posts on the pergola on the back patio, you will notice the special details of this house. All of the furnishings have a unique history and many were made by Mexican artisans. In the fall, the smell of roasted green chile fills the air and the home is perfectly situated to enjoy the sights of the Sandia Mountains. Don't be surpised to see a hot air balloon fly directly over the house.

We loved our visit!
The casita was a perfect home away from home. ....... perfectly appointed for a travelers every need! The decor was stunning, the beds comfy and everything organized for a delightful visit. Thank you for the wonderful recommendations of where to eat and visit!
The home was cozy and clean. We had everything we needed to enjoy our stay.
The owners reached out to us right after we arrived. It was a nice touch and she gave me a nice run down on the house and the Area. I highly recommend this home.
Nice and comfortable
The house was nice in a secure neighborhood and a great location.
It was well equipped maybe with the exception of pots. The owners were easy to deal with and we very much enjoyed our stay there.
Only place to stay in Abq
We stayed here for mother in laws surgery. This place was more than a house it was a Home! I was in constant contact with owners and they responded very quickly. I will only stay here when coming back to visit family and friends. My dogs do not stay in many places comfortably but they adapted here very soon. They actually spent many mornings in yard exploring. Thans Pitts family!
Our stay was a pleasure! Your house is lovely with interesting southwest decor throughout. The backyard is nicely landscaped. During the day, we were off on adventures playing golf, visiting shopping areas and dining out, but we looked forward to returning to your pleasant abode. Your booklet had helpful suggestions of places to visit. All in all, our stay at your charming house one one of the best parts of our trip. Thanks!
Captures Charm of Southwest
The Kimberly's home is a charming, wonderful retreat - a terrific place to stay for an extended rest - or for an exploration of Albuquerque & its environs. The interior of their home is splendidly furnished in southwestern/Mexican decor, with a strong bent toward original furnishings & artwork. After my wife & I opened the front door & unloaded our gear, we immediately fell in love with their home. And, as a special note for kitty owners, our 14-year-old Siamese was never more relaxed. Historically, it takes her two to three days to acclimate herself to new gigs. She was instantly in love with our new found gem.
The house is conveniently located near Interstate 40 making access to anywhere in Albuquerque convenient. A Balloon Fiesta shuttle stop is within walking distance-two blocks from the house. Volcanoes and Old Town are less than five miles. Santa Fe is less than an hour away by car or take the Railrunner train and see the beautiful scenery.
