An updated BBQ area located poolside features stainless steel BBQ's just re-done AGAIN!!! in 2016, granite counter and gas burners; the outdoor tables and chairs also located poolside are ideal for dining 'al fresco' at sunset or under the stars with the warm tradewinds, swaying palms and the gentle sounds of the breaking surf!

Depending on the season it is not uncommon to wake up in the morning to brilliant rainbows, spot sea turtles bobbing in the water in front of our parklike grassy knoll and watch Humpback whales breaching through the ocean's blue canvas; all truly a breathtaking and awe-inspiring natural work of the Island's magical art.

This is our second home and it we are committed to keeping it clean, fresh and nicely appointed; we know you will enjoy it as much as our family, friends and of course as much as we do!

About John

We wanted a second home on Maui and thought why not? – let's make this a vacation home for others to enjoy as well! Kevin grew up partly in La Canada, California and partly in Hawaii on the island of Oahu in the Kahala area while his father was a cameraman on the original Hawaii Five-0. He is a professional photographer of 35 years as well as a Realtor/Partner with John and sister Marion in The Fairbanks Group at Coldwell Banker. Ray is from the mid-west 'Indiana' and although home base is now California it is even tough to keep him off Island!

John spent several years overseas in Germany with his family but calls Southern California his first love; he was raised a beach boy! Maintaining his successful real estate career in So Cal for more than 25 years (BTW - he will sell your house on the mainland and get you into a home in Maui; he decided it was time to begin a new life adventure!

So here we are...without pets; our second home does not allow them. Our first home is resplendent with them!

When not in our Kahana home, we live in Altadena, California close to Pasadena - home of the world famous Rose Parade and Rose Bowl and amazing architecture.

Why John chose West Maui

Perfect location for our favorite restaurants in West Maui. Love the uniqueness of the property with only 16 units right on the water away from the hustle bustle of the big resorts. Would love to live here full-time someday! During 'Whale Season' the view is spectacular...you can almost feel them on our lanai! In addition we have a rack for Kayak storage that is exclusive for our home and available for your enjoyment!

Ocean Views! Spacious and Much More!

This location is amazing! We were within walking distance of some of the best restaurants in the area. Coffee House, great beaches and wonderful weather! We would definitely come back. The home is clean and well stocked with cooking equipment and all the guests staying in other homes were very fun to hang out with! All ages were here from young families to retired people enjoying their grand kids. We highly recommend this property.

Beautiful condo with all the bells and whistles

We could not have been more pleased by this beautiful 3 bedroom condo in Maui! The building itself is very well kept and clean. Along with the pool and BBQ, there is a very nice grassy common area where we enjoyed beautiful sunsets and spectacular photos ops! Parking is literally right next to our unit giving us easy access to our car. The condo is situated in the perfect location. Walking distance to Miso Phat Sushi, the General Store, Scuba/Snorkeling store, Maui Brewing Co and the best coffee cafe in Maui.

Driving 10 minutes North or South will put you in some of the best beaches, restaurants and hotels Maui has to offer.

I was traveling with my husband and older teenagers. My husband and I took the private oasis (upstairs loft) and gave the kids the downstairs bedrooms, everyone was more than happy (not easy with teenagers). The rooms are very spacious, clean, nicely decorated and had the most comfortable beds ever!! We slept better in those beds then we do in our own home. Maybe it was the combination of the beds and the soft, calming sound of crashing waves? The unit is very well stocked. We had all the comforts of home: plenty of towels, a washer and dryer, a fully stocked kitchen, and a storage room FULL of beach chairs, snorkels, fins, umbrellas, toys, ice chests...and the list goes on! Every night we looked forward to coming "home" after a long day on the island to: opening all the windows and feeling the nice, cool breeze, setting the ambiance lighting (yes the unit had very romantic ambiance lighting!) and enjoying our bottle of vino while listening to the sound of relaxing waves.

I would absolutely, highly recommend this condo for families, couples or anyone who want to enjoy a great vacation in Maui.

Kahana Birthday Celebration Adventure

My family (8 of us!) had an awesome time staying in this beautiful condo, celebrating a 40th birthday!....great views, plenty of room, very family friendly, and wonderful location for accessing all of the fun adventures on Maui. We were particularly delighted with the number of hangers in the closets, the spice cupboard, the beach towels, and most especially the beach toys, chairs, umbrellas, coolers, boogie boards, snorkel gear and other surprises in the "sand locker". My granddaughters loved the pool, and found it to be a delightful playground for meeting new friends. All of the guests at the complex were wonderfully friendly! Also impressed with the maintenance of the grounds....the bbq was cleaned every day! And when we encountered an issue with the DVD player and notified the owner, a new device was provided the very next day. All in all, a wonderful experience.

Plenty of room for 6 adults!

We really enjoyed being right on the beach and having a full kitchen. Although we spent most of our time away from the condo it was nice to come back each night to a quiet and comfortable bed. When we did stay we were on the beach and in the pool all day. Would definitely stay here again!

oceanfront condo is paradise

Our stay was excellent, the condo has everything one needs, the rooms are large, bedrooms quite large, and bathrooms as well, the patio is the perfect size. 2 couples went and we never got into each others way, plenty of room, modern conveniences. THe condo has 3 bedrooms and even more room to sleep little ones on a sleeper sofa.

There are pool toys, beach towels, the kitchen is stocked. the location is great, minutes from restaurants, 10 minutes to Lahina, 5 minutes to the new Ritz. Also there are barbecue grills at the pool and plenty of seating to have dinner at poolside.

It was lovely and the view from the patio is exactly what the picture shows. Certainly perfection !

Pleasantly Surprised

This condo exceeded my expectations in every way. The layout is perfect: spacious with bedrooms situated for maximum privacy. The décor is tasteful yet stylish and I wasn't at all embarrassed to have friends over for a BBQ. In addition, the condo came stocked with 6 or 8 beach chairs, 4 umbrellas, snorkel equipment/fins, toys for the little ones and body boards for the big kids. The lanai with the ocean view is perfect for brunch, lounging or catching a sunrise/sunset. It's situated with a view of the pool so I felt comfortable watching the kids from the comfort of the lanai. The complex itself is quiet and small, so you don't have that corporate "conglomerate" feel. It's VERY homey and quaint. And for the price point, I would highly recommend it for anyone who wants comfort and space without paying those crazy prices like in Wailea!
