Mountainback one bedroom + loft with two full baths and high ceilings. This top floor unit is warm and cozy, with earth tone colors of camel and green and an antler chandelier to complete the cabin feel. It’s perfect for the potentially varied schedules of skiing families with the second shuttle stop from Canyon Lodge right outside the door. You can walk to Canyon Lodge in the morning or take the shuttle down to The Village for the gondola.

The living room includes a TV with DVD and a stereo, the sofa makes out into a double bed. The main bedroom has a queen bed with a full bathroom across the hall. The loft upstairs sleeps three with a bunk bed and pull out trundle along with the other full bath. Private WiFi. DVD WiFi enabled for access to Netflix. Washer/dryer.

Mountainback is on Lakeview Boulevard, one of the two primary roads accessing Canyon Lodge. Keeping Lakeview open is a mountain and City priority and helps assure your access to/from the covered parking. Mountainback plows the driveway between the road and parking each morning (or more frequently) as needed.

There is a hot tub between our building and the adjacent one and a pool, hot tub, showers and BBQ at the main office.

About Pam Smith

We have owned our condo for 13 years. We have enjoyed many family vacations in our beautiful "home away from home" cabin. We have five kids that range in age, so it is a perfect spot on the shuttle route. Everyone can go at there own pace to get to the mountain, and drop back by for lunch with a short walk to Canyon Lodge or The Village. We bought it with the winter in mind but have found we enjoy the summer more and more each year.

Convenience - Close to Canyon Lodge and The Village.

Access - Lakeview Boulevard always plowed, covered parking, shuttle out front, and gondola between Canyon Lodge and The Village. The 2nd shuttle stop from Canyon Lodge is just outside. Convenience + Access => Flexibility.

Self-Contained - All the usual amenities plus washer/dryer,

Fantastic!

The condo was warm and toasty. Very comfortable to say the least. Being on the 3rd floor we actually had a view. Everyone below us had nothing but Snow! The condo was very convenient to the slopes. Not far from the town and shops. We really had a great time. Our son and grandsons live and work in mammonth. So it was a double great trip. I recommend this home away from home. Thank you so much for sharing your home. Enjoyed the photos of the family... mkj

It has been a great trip. The unit is very nice. Excellent location. We will book it again for sure.

When we arrived there was little snow in town. Suddenly it started snowing and didn't stop until now. 40" !!! On top of the mountain the Snow is great!!!

Great place to stay

We are a family of 3 so the home had plenty of room for us to spread out. I had space to set up a makeshift office. My son loved his own space in the loft and my wife loved Netfliks on tv in the living room. The kitchen was well stocked with enough of dishes, glasses, bowls, etc. Stove was easy to cook on. Beds were fantastic. We all slept great. My back feels alot better.

We had only a couple of hiccups. The front desk wouldn't give us a key when we arrived due to some miscommunication but we got it straightened out pretty quick. The cable box needed to be reset a couple of times which was easy to do once we figured it out.

Suggestion for the future: The linoleum in the bathrooms are starting to come up on the ends and needs attention so water doesn't damage the floor boards. We were careful but others may not be.

We are hoping to come back in the fall and hope that we will be able to rent this home again next time. Pam and Chris were super helpful with restaurant and activities suggestions.
