(Minimum 30 day rentals. We will, on occasion, consider two-week rentals for a premium. We charge a premium for these because bylaws only allow the house to be rented to one group per month.)

This house embodies the old fashioned charm of a traditional Key West house while providing modern amenities. It is located on a quiet street in the Casa Marina district, just a brief walk from the exciting hustle and bustle of Old Town Key West.

It provides a laid-back and whimsical atmosphere for your Key West adventures. The house has a casual and bright decorating scheme that is enhanced by artwork from local artists and pieces that have been brought back from around the world by the homeowners. The living room even boasts its very own organ for the enjoyment of the musically inclined. It is graced with floor to ceiling built on bookshelves that are stocked with a variety of genres for your reading pleasure, by the pool or curled up on the couch in the blissful shade of the living room.

The newly renovated bedroom on the main floor is similarly decorated with an on-suite bathroom. The French doors in this bedroom allow you to wake up in the morning and walk directly out to the back deck for a sunbathing session or to take a dip in the picturesque pool.

There are two bedrooms upstairs that are constructed with historical Dade County Pine that has been left unpainted for inhabitants to absorb the classic charm of the house. This unique accent and the furnishings in the room help to transport you back to historic Key West.

The master bedroom has it’s own, newly renovated, on-suite bathroom with a back balcony overlooking the pool and the beautiful flowering Bougainvillea tree. The bedroom also has doors that lead out onto a spacious front balcony that spans the front of the house. From there you can enjoy the tropical breezes and sip some lemonade from behind a private screen of swaying palm trees.

The homeowners are enthusiastic gourmet cooks and the kitchen is fully stocked with cooking implements for all of your culinary needs.

The kitchen is connected to an extremely spacious dinning room that is ideal for family dinners or an evening of entertaining. The dinning room is decorated in a Mediterranean style and looks out over the turquoise blue waters of the pool and the flora of the back deck.

The back deck is a spacious and private area surrounded by trees and flowers. A coral water feature, decorated with some whimsical local art pieces, the pool. There are two lounge chairs and an outdoor dinning area that is perfect for entertaining or a quiet breakfast by the pool.

About Katie Muzyka

Our family has owned properties all over the world, because we are avid travellers and love to have a home base in our favourite places. We have owned houses in France, Martha's Vineyard, Vancouver and, of course, beautiful Key West. I am American but spent my childhood in France. I currently live in Vancouver, Canada and am working as a high school teacher. My father is a university professor and my mother is a healthcare administrator. They bought the house while on spring vacation with my younger brother and love to go there in the off season to soak in the sun.

Why Katie Muzyka chose Key West

We love older houses that have an abundance of charm but are still entirely functional. We went down to Key West on a spring break vacation and ended up with a house! We saw a huge number of houses and decided to buy this house because it was full of history and antique charm. The house is full of natural light which is unusual for these charming older houses. We also loved that the house was so open and painted in friendly and bright colours. It is an amazing house and filled the little space in our hearts left by the sale of our much loved vacation home on Martha's Vineyard.

What makes this house unique

-The front of the house is stunning and a beautiful place to hang out and sip lemonade with a porch that runs across the front of the house and a full balcony mirroring it on the top floor.

-The pool is just the right size for a leisurely dip on a warm day.

-The living room is huge and has multiple seating areas that would be great for entertaining.

-The house is built in a historic style unique to Key West but has huge windows that let in an abundance of light.


Car: not necessary

The house is located in the heart of the Casa Marina District that was built up to surround one of the island's most luxurious resorts. It also borders the Key West Cuban neighbourhood that boats a number of incredible authentic cuban restaurants in the area.

Refundable damage deposit $395.98
Tax Rate 12.5%

Half of the cost of the rental is due upon booking and the remainder (including taxes and deposit) 60 days prior to arrival.


Cancellations made 90 days or more prior to arrival date, guest will have a full refund of payments to date minus $100 fee.
Cancellations made 60-90 days prior to arrival date, guess will have a full refund of payments to date minus $500 fee
Cancellations made within 60 days of arrival are non-refundable.
The change of an arrival date on a confirmed reservation will fall under the same policy as a reservation cancellation. Additionally, the shortening of a stay on a confirmed reservation within 60 days of arrival or during the reservation period will not be refundable.
All cancellations must be in writing and acknowledged by owner.
