About Barbara Hetland
I moved to Ashland 14 years ago and am in love with this town. There is so much to do here - as one of my clients remarked 'this is a day camp for adults!' The people are so friendly and everyone seems engaged in life.
Barbara Hetland purchased this Studio in 2003
Why Barbara Hetland chose Ashland
The home and apartment are so close to everything - a short stroll to downtown, theaters at night, restaurants galore, bike path out the front door, coffee shop 4 doors down the street. Wonderful yard, veggie garden, and patio with fountain.
What makes this Studio unique
Ashland is surrounded by mountains and you get a birds eye view of them from your lodging. It is warm and inviting. A very happy place.
The perfect getaway
I have stayed at the Carriage House many times and every time has been perfect. The room is spacious, with a very comfortable queen bed, a fold out couch, electric fireplace, kitchen and shower/tub in the bathroom. Barbara, who owns the place, is very sweet and accommodating, and offers bikes to take to town, which is about a 12 minute walk to the heart of the theatre district, really not bad at all. The only reason I am hesitant about recommending The Carriage House, is because I don't want it to become too popular and then I won't be able to get a reservation :-)
Perfect guest home convenient to downtown and OSF
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Barbara’s well appointed studio apartment. The 10 minute walk to the center of town allowed us to access shopping and restaurants easily.
Beautiful property with a lovely garden, fountains, outdoor table.
Loved our stay here! Highly recommend it. Very clean, nicely decorated, about 17 minutes walk to theaters, 1 block to grocery store, enjoyed reading in the garden - listening to the fountains.
a home away from home
This is a great place to stay. We especially loved the big windows with views of the hills, so much better than being cooped up in a motel room. We cooked several meals in, the kitchen is well equipped for simple meals. The furniture is comfortable, everything is very clean and well maintained. It faces a quiet street. Safeway is only a few blocks away. It is close to the theaters and downtown. We were very comfortable there for 5 days and look forward to returning. This was our first HomeAway rental and we will definately try it again.
A romantic getaway with Special touches!
beautifully decorated, and has all the special touches! There is a beautiful garden in which to sip your coffee in the morning or wine at night. The additions of a lovely bottle of wine, bit of chocolate and bicycles to use were perfect! It is a short walk to downtown Ashland and There’s a wonderful wine, beer and coffee shop just a few steps away. We will definitely come back and stay here!
We really enjoyed our time in Ashland and the carriage house perfect for us! Barbara is warm and welcoming and the room had everything we needed for a comfortable home away from home stay!
