This house is very old along with the appliances in it. There is absolutely no air conditioning. The bed are very hard and uncomfortable. The only working tv sound is broken so Tim's cheap ass has it connect to an alarm clock for sound. The stove was very dirty. The hot water last for 5 minutes, we had to take cold showers for the whole week. The house is poorly maintained. I would guess this is the worse house in Lotus Lake Village. Also there is a house about 100ft up has a huge confederate flag hanging in his yard. My familt didnt feel safe the entire trip. The neighbors at 1654 was caught recording my family several time (creepy). We tried to call the homeowner several times but he never answers. Then after the stay we received an email weeks after saying there were damages to this old antique house and we would not be getting our deposit back. Which is fine but at least charge me for thing that was actually damaged during my stay. We chose this place because the price was very low and the phrase you get what you pay for is 100%true when it come to this property. This was something that my family was looking to make a tradition of and will definitely not come back. On a more positive note the lake was very fun and the people at the front desk was very helpful. I wish someone woukd have a real review up, I would have never picked this place. So if your into old dirty hot living space with a slash of racism, then this is the place for you.

Owner's Response: Sour Grapes, First of all we do not advertise that the house has ac. It's the mountains. The house was clean and there's never been a complaint about the beds in 15 years. The refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher are less than 5 years old. The tenant texted me several times : "We love the house" "happy 4th of July" "having a great time" When my cleaner arrived she found that there were 2 missing pillows and 2 new door screens were ripped. My wife went in after the cleaner and found the handle of the built in microwave was ripped from the door and hanging off. The shelf guard was missing on the refrigerator and the banister going down stairs was broken. Including parts and labor it totaled $158 and change. There was a remainder of $125 in security deposit so I contacted them with pictures and receipts and said don't worry about the additional dollars, we will call it even. He then began to email me with outrageous profanity constantly. In regard to a confederate flag flying it wasn't at my house and yes my neighbors did take pictures because they were shooting off fireworks, which are illegal in my development, into the game lands late into the night. There was trash from the fireworks that also had to be cleaned up. I ask my tenants to treat the house like there own. I shutter to think what there home is like.

Beatiful getaway weekend from New York City

  • 5 of 5

Thank you for the rental! It was a nice getaway weekend at the Tim’s house. We traveled with a group of nine people, and it was more than enough space for everyone in the cabin. We really enjoyed doing barbeque at the outdoor terrace. Definitely, the house is spacious and comfortable for spending your time outside of the city. There is only one thing that needs some improvement- the carpeting in the leaving room. Overall, I highly recommend to rent this house, it is certainly worth it!

Hunting Trip

  • 3 of 5

Spent a long weekend with a large group to do some deer hunting and golfing. I'm fairly certain this was the first time everybody had a bed to sleep in! Plenty of room for everybody and the location could not be better for hunting- right out the back door. So much to do up there; he had a blast. The only downside is the kitchen. If you like to cook like we do, there is nothing in the way of pots/pans or utensils. All the appliances are old and need a thorough cleaning. Thanks again for the rental!
