Sunset Villa is a newly furnished bungalow part of the Arsinoe Beach Village complex. With a front row location there is nothing between you and the beach. Leading from the living room there is a balcony and a garden furnished with a table and chairs to enable you to dine al fresco. The deck on the garden edge is the perfect spot to relax on your lounger and enjoy the sunset over the Akamas peninsula.
Quiet and peaceful, yet only a few minutes from the picturesque fishing harbour of Latchi, the villa has easy access to all amenities and many fish restaurants and tavernas for eating out.
The Paphos District: Paphos, a picturesque half-hour drive, combines ancient history with a cosmopolitan, modern tourist resort. The area by the coast is known as Kato Paphos and boasts a pretty little harbour with a medieval castle and plenty of open air cafes bars.
It has abundant night-life and restaurants, amusement and water parks and plenty cultural attractions.
In Greco-Roman times Paphos was the island's capital, and it is famous for the remains of the Roman Governor's palace, where extensive, fine mosaics are a major tourist attraction.
There are numerous archaeological sites to visit such as the Tombs of the Kings the Medieval castle and the Christian catacombs. The Apostole Paul of Tarsus visited the town during the first century.
The town of Paphos is included in the official UNESCO list of cultural and natural treasures of the world's heritage.
Further inland is the old town of Paphos, known by the locals as Ktima. With its narrow streets, hustle and bustle, covered market and typically Cypriot atmosphere, it is well worth a visit.
Paphos is the mythical birthplace of Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love and beauty. Legend says that she emerged from the sea at Aphrodite’s Rock in a surge of sea foam.
The Baths of Aphrodite where it is believed she came to bathe are a quiet and tranquil place to visit, just a few minutes drive from the villa.
If you are feeling more adventurous you can use your 4X4 to explore the Troodos Mountains or the nearby Akamas Peninsula and take in the scenery and aromas of Cedar Valley.
THE BEACH.....: Step out of the garden on to a blue flag unspoiled beach. Don't expect carefully combed sands, rows of sunbeds and water sports (for that you would need to walk a further 5 min to the Latchi Municipal Beach). Do expect a strip of magnificent colourful pebbles as you enter the crystal clear water and a few turtle nests here and there carefully marked out. Don't worry, still plenty of room for your beach mat.
