About Bethany

My love of the outdoors began when I was very young. I grew up on a farm in Franklin, TN. that backed up to the Harpeth River. I'd either ride my horse to the water or walk. I found it peaceful and it was a place that I could gather my thoughts and relax.

The older I get, not much has changed. I still love to backpack, hike, horseback ride and boat. My happy place is being outside and preferably near the water.

I have traveled all over the United States and been able to backpack and horse camp in some amazing places. Don't get me wrong, after a long backpacking trip, I like to pamper myself by renting a cabin that's still secluded. It's hard to name my favorite place that I've visited from Kings Canyon in California to Savage Gulf in Tennessee.

I moved from Tennessee to Southwest Missouri over 13 years ago and the first places that I visited were Roaring River and Table Rock Lake. The water's still beautiful and peaceful. I'm fortunate to hike on my property and at the State Parks.

Bethany purchased this house in 2016

Why Bethany chose Eagle Rock

As a host, I wanted to give my guests the same experience that I've had in my travels. A place that is relaxing on the water, secluded from the rat race, and a quiet spot to unwind.

It's a place that you can stay in the cabin and relax or go down to the water and watch the wildlife. The water is all around you for fishing or boating or just playing!

And one last part that I love about this cabin is the location to night life and great restaurants. Eureka Springs, Arkansas is just 15 minutes away with its local arts and crafts, it has something for everyone. The restaurants have everything from burgers to prime rib or vegetarian fare.

What makes this house unique

I love this place because its quiet and secluded and I can watch the wildlife from the back porches. I love being able to get away from it all!

We stayed for a week, the owner is fantastic. The cabin is very nice and clean. Comfortable beds and great views. Fishing is excellent out back and there are many attractions and towns nearby with many activities. the cabin itself is very quiet and secluded. AAA+

Remote, quiet, and clean

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay here. The setting was remote and quiet. It was nice to be able to see the river from the cabin porch - which was great to sit and relax. The cabin was very clean and had plenty of room for our family of 5. There were plenty of kitchen and grilling basics available for meal prep. The gas mart up the road makes great pizzas too. Very close to the Eagle Rock boat ramp, which we used every day. There’s plenty of space to park your boat at the cabin - a reasonably sized one anyway. The property owner responded immediately with an internet issue that we had. I was very impressed with her. The only thing to mention is if you plan on bringing a dog (which we did not) there were 2 ?neighbor? Dogs that came to visit outside every day. They were very nice and our kids loved them but I don’t know how they would act toward another dog. They were really excited when my husband accidentally dropped a brat from the grill. Anyway, overall this is a great little cabin, a great value, and I would recommend it.

Clean and had everything we needed.

  • 5 of 5

This is a really sweet cabin in a quiet spot. There was plenty of comfortable space for our family of four. The property has been well taken care of. There's also a great swimming spot in Roaring River (much cooler/clearer than Table Rock) very near, which we went to every day, and it's an easy drive to Eureka Springs. It was just right!

Mount Vernon, Texas

The best part of the whole trip!

  • 5 of 5

This was a truly relaxing place that made me feel like I was vacationing in a tree house. I could hear the fish jumping from the awesome patio. The streaming on the tv was a little spotty, but we spent most of our time on the porch, so it was not an issue. We found the proximity to the places we wanted to visit was fantastic. Branson is about an hour (but what a beautiful drive!), and 20 minutes to Eureka Springs. The owner has thought of everything one might need; all you need to bring are groceries. She was very quick to respond with any questions I had, and on arrival, the cabin was spotlessly cleaned. We will stay here again the next time we visit the area.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the kind words! I love it when the guests are able to get away from it all and relax, but also, feel like the house is close enough to explore the towns in the area. I really didn't think of the drive to Branson and how beautiful it is until you mentioned it. And for Eureka Springs, the architecture is stunning and they always have something fun to do. I'm looking forward to your next visit!
