Why Noreen McInerney chose County Clare

Absolutely LOVED Staying here!
Noreen is the best hostess. The place was immaculate and had all the comforts of America. It was authentic Irish, quiet and warming. Noreen gave us great tips on places to travel and sightseeing which made our day trips enjoyable. The people in Newmarket on Fergus were genuinely suburb people who were friendly and enjoyed sharing with us the culture and their town. I highly recommend Cahergal Farmhouse and Newmarket on Fergus!
Perfect Home Base for a Family!
The Cahergal Farmhouse was absolutely perfect for our family of 8 to travel around Ireland for two weeks. We were able to sleep comfortably, get showered and ready for the day quickly with 4 full bathrooms, and have a haven to rest and enjoy a home cooked meal in the beautiful kitchen. The laundry machines were a nice bonus! Noreen and Michael could not have been more welcoming and kind. Fresh scones and brown bread would appear on our counter like magic! The house is clean and spacious, and the farm is beautiful to walk around with the tour guide, Buttons! We will surely be back!
Accommodations very nice. Lots of farm animals to watch. Owners very friendly. I would stay here again for sure.
Beautiful farm with very accommodating owners
I recently visited Ireland with my wife and 2 children (6 and 8). We decided to stay at the Cahregal farmhouse for 3 nights of our trip. The owners are both very nice and gave us a tour of the farm, which my kids loved. The kids fed the hens, watched a horse with a swollen knee be attended to, and helped herd the cows into an adjoining field. My children also adored Buttons, the owners' small dog.
The self catering house we stayed in was very spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. There is a EuroSpar supermarket about a 5 minute drive in Newmarket on Fergus, which we used to pick up some of the basics. The location is convenient to Bunratty Castle, the Cliffs of Moher, as well as the Burren.
Cahegral Farmhouse is a delightful place to stay. We were on a driving holiday in the UK & Ireland and stayed here for 4 nights. We were 6 adults (two families). Each of the 4 bedrooms at the farmhouse are large and well appointed. The kitchen and living areas are modern and well equipped.
The property owners, Noreen and Michael were wonderful hosts. Noreen baked bread, scones and on the last night a lovely Apple Pie. Michael took my daughter for a great horse ride through the paddocks around the sheep and cows.
We used this accommodation to make day trips to the west and south west of Ireland. It is close to the motorway and within a mile or so of the village where we were able to buy essentials.
Thanks you Noreen, Michael and son James. We definitely recommend the property to anyone looking for a quality and welcoming experience. We would have liked to have stayed longer.

Wonderful property and Wonderful hosts
Noreen and Michael were amazing hosts. They greeted us with open arms and warm bread and fresh scones! Michael gave us an amazing tour of the farm while entertaining us with wonderful stories of his youth. We even almost got to see the birth of a calf! We were treated as family. The self catering cottage was comfortable and perfect for our needs. It was situated perfectly for sightseeing Bunratty, Cliffs of Moher, The Burren and music in Doolin. If ever in the area again we will definitely return to Cahergal Farmhouse.
We have a full sized tennis court, outdoor BBQ area and we also provide horse back tours of our 100 acre award winning farm
