About Joe Coffman Jr.
I am a partially retired coal worker that likes all outdoor activities. I have lived here locally all my life, am family oriented. I have a wonderful family that includes 2 sons, 2 daughter in laws, and 1 granddaughter, (and 4 granddogs!)
Joe Coffman Jr. purchased this Cabin in 2004
Why Joe Coffman Jr. chose Buckhannon
I have always wanted to build a log cabin and when I saw this property with the pine trees I could already see the finished product in my mind.
What makes this Cabin unique
It is just a beautiful setting to build a log home to get away from it all!

This property was wonderful and even nicer than the pictures can convey. Joe called me within just a few minutes of my booking and introduced himself, gave me directions, and insisted I don't hesitate to call if I needed anything during my short stay.
I wanted to slip away from city life with my dogs where my 11 year old and 5 year old could run off-leash, and this was the perfect secluded cabin for that. It's close enough to the main road to know you can access amenities if needed, but far away enough that you have complete privacy. Everything worked perfectly and was clean, and the sheets were the most comfortable I've ever slept on.
Thank you, Joe!
Thanks for the nice review, You are welcome back any time Thanks Joe
Beautiful, Serene, Well Appointed
This is a serene, peaceful and well appointed cabin. The owner is very accommodating and kept us informed in the days leading up to our stay. It is evident they listen to feedback as I saw brochures and magazines in the cabin for the surrounding area. For those considering a stay please note that pots, pans, utensils, towels, linens, some toilet paper & paper towels are provided. Having stayed in many other rentals I can share that this is not always the case.
We stayed during the holidays and it was very nice to see a Christmas tree in the cabin when we arrived.
The views are incredible! We had the opportunity to see a little bit of snow and looking out from the front porch seeing the mountains snow capped was breathtaking!
This is our new place of choice when staying in the area.
Great place to stay
Well maintained and very comfortable.
Thanks for the nice review Joe

Keep coming back
We stay here in the Spring and Fall. We have been coming for the last four years. The cabin is always clean and comfortable.
Beautiful Mountain Get-Away
We discovered this HomeAway from home and on arrival it was clean and everything was in working order, although it took me a while to discover the toaster was part of the microwave! My only suggestion to make someone's stay perfect would be to have a loose-leaf notebook with instructions on how to use the appliances, recommended restaurants and grocery stores, expectations for clean-up and what to do with garbage, and maybe a property map. If you are looking for a quiet respite "Mountain Living" is ideal. Cleaning deposit was refunded promptly. Great experience!
