Completed in January 2015, our family home is now ready for your use during your Kiawah family vacation. We look forward to our annual 4 weeks in Kiawah and the endless activities it offers. It is located behind the 2nd security gate in the popular Vanderhorst Plantation - Private homes surround the property yet the resort luxury vacation facilities are close - each day is what you would expect a vacation to be - relaxing, relaxing and relaxing. Not a better location on the island located on a dead end street and a 5 minute bike ride to our beautiful beaches on Kiawah Island. Wildlife is abundant and you will become part of the nature.

Pictures don't do this house justice! So nice. Great for two families with young children. Our kids loved the bunk room and games in the theater room. The kitchen and bathrooms were nicely remodeled and we love the large screened porch. The beach was a bit of a walk but good exercise. Booking was a bit difficult but our stay was well worth any trouble.

We stayed for three weeks and we were so sad to leave. The house is just perfect.....completely renovated and clean. The owners are so thoughtful and very attentive. The gourmet kitchen was great for family dinners and the location on turtle point golf course was super fun. The house has everything you need and is ideal for a fabulous vacation. We also loved the property manager Donna....she even loaned my nephews her crab pot! Thanks again for everything!

Beautiful newly remodeled home...great family memories

We spent eight days having family fun in this georgous, newly remodeled home. Everyone gathered throughout our stay in the large, spacious kitchen to prepare BBQs, bond at breakfast time and simply hang out together. The kids in our group really enjoyed the bunk beds in the large room above the garage and having the ability to have a place of their own to play games and bond. I will miss having my morning tea on the patio while watching deer passing by. This place has all of the comforts of home along with everything the island has to offer. We will definitely return.

Nice Renovation, But House Not Ready for Prime Time

Although this home has been newly renovated, there are still too many loose ends for renters to completely feel at home. From exposed wires, no closet hangers or starter soaps/shampoo, a missing bathrooms mirror, sparse furnishings and few rugs to TV remotes with no batteries and drainage issues that left the driveway flooded after a rainstorm ... this home needs more attention to detail prior to further renting. The fees for renting this home are commensurate with other top-tier rentals on the island; however, the home simply does not meet expectations as currently appointed. Additionally, payments to the owner were required to be via wire transfer -- a slight hassle especially when the owner did not provide his correct bank information. Overall, this home has great potential, but is not fully up to rental standards.
