IF YOUD LIKE TO BOOK THIS APARTMENT BUT THE DATES YOU REQUIRE ARE NOT AVAILABLE, THEN PLEASE BOOK THE IDENTICAL APARTMENT WHICH IS ALSO INCLUDED ON THIS TRAVELMOB LIST. LIKE THE MAIN IMAGE SHOWN ABOVE, IT HAS A YELLOW LINE ON A SATELLITE PHOTOGRAPH AND IS NAMED "LIFE'S A BEACH: STOP AND SMELL THE OCEAN"
The sands and waves of the beach are about a minutes walk away. BYO wine and beach towels.
A shopping strip is also about a minute away. There you will find a supermarket, cafes, restaurants, bars and bottle shops.
Free on site parking is available for you at the back of the property.
So go for a dip in the water, or if you'd rather walk, then just turn towards the city skyline and meander along the miles of sandy beaches leading to St Kilda and Port Melbourne. Or turn in the other direction and you can wander along Brighton Beach with all its grand beachside houses. If you feel really energetic you could then stroll along the bay all the way down to the tip of Mornington Peninsula.
Alternatively, play a round of golf at the Elsternwick Golf Course, or perhaps a game of tennis on the foreshore tennis courts or those at Elsternwick Park, all a 5 to 10 minute walk away.
The Elwood Village neighborhood with its magnificent beach, huge park, golf course, tennis courts, proximity to Luna Park and St Kilda, as well as the city center is ideal for holiday makers and travellers.
And you really must visit Rippon Lea House and Gardens, within walking distance of the apartment. This large heritage-listed nineteenth century mansion is surrounded by 7 acres of manicured Victorian gardens including its own imposing waterfall. Under the care of the National Trust of Australia, it is open daily.
The bus to St Kilda light rail, which will then take you to the city, is about two minutes walk away.
Tram and train stations taking you into the city are about 15 minutes away, walking mainly through Elsternwick Park and Golf Course.
A five minute walk will get you to the bus going to the Monash Uni Clayton campus and everywhere in between.
You can drive to vibrant St Kilda in 5 minutes, or get there by walking along beautiful Elwood and St Kilda beaches in 30.
The city and the casino complex are some 20 minutes away by car, travelling mainly along the beaches of St Kilda and Beaconsfield Parade.
The apartment would suit couples as well as families with kids, and perhaps even a pet (so long as it is house trained and is not left inside the apartment on its own). It would also suit groups of friends and business travellers.
Admittedly not a five star hotel, but neither does it carry a five star price tag.
The apartment is available anywhere from one night to several months. Pricing for medium term or longer stays can be discussed.
Should you require anything during your stay, the hosts will do their best to provide it. Living only a few minutes away, they would be available to attend to your needs promptly.
