We enjoyed this vacation so much. The place was very nice, clean and cozy! The views were beautiful. We are now looking to move here because Lake James is so beautiful. Terri was very nice to work with and her husband Steve was as well. We were able to rent their pontoon boat which gave us the benefit to experience the whole lake.

We would definitely rent this property again.

Short walk to water, with only a few stairs.

The views for the house were excellent and the home layout was great for groups. The kitchen while small had everything you could need. The house was very clean, lighting was excellent for reading. The area is very quiet and could stay in the water all day without any boats disturbing your relaxation. Terri was easy to work with and was quick to return our deposit after we left. A very nice relaxing home.

Beautiful and Relaxing Location

  • 5 of 5

Our family had a really relaxing stay at the lake house. The neighbors were friendly and Terri was especially responsive in all of our communications with her. She stopped by and chatted with us and even shipped my son's book bag and laptop to us that had been left behind!!! We enjoyed the open layout of the house with the huge family room and fantastic view of the lake. The house was exceptionally clean when we arrived. The area was secluded and very quiet. Our kids caught and released a lot of small sunfish from the dock and we saw several schools of bass with fish 14 to 20 inches long, but we were not successful catching them. We are not experienced at fishing, but had a lot of fun. The local people in Nebo and Marion were exceptionally friendly and helpful and we are from eastern carolina. The food and service at the Roma restaurant were a really great value. You can bring your own wine to the restaurant since they do not sell alcohol. We had not toured the Biltmore House and grounds in Ashville for over twenty years and the tour was well worth the price of admission. We had a great stay and would recommend house and community.

We had a wonderful stay

  • 5 of 5

Within a few minutes of settling in my wife and I felt like we were at home. The house was very comfortable and very clean. Everything we could have wanted was available and in good working condition. We arrived on a rainy afternoon and were so happy to have a covered parking area and entrance so we could unload the car without getting wet. The house is charming and exactly as it looks in the photos with no hidden surprises. The rain didn't last and we loved our time on the lake and the easy drive to WNC attractions like Chimney Rock, Black Mountain and Ashville. We are already planning our return.

Exactly what we wanted!

  • 5 of 5

Our family wanted a relaxing vacation where we could float, fish, read and lie in the sun. We did all that and more. The cove is blessedly quiet. The listing accurately reflects the rental's appearance and it was clean and attractive inside; homey and inviting. We were able to rent a pontoon boat and toured happily around the lake for several hours one day. Jumping off the top deck of the dock into the lake was a highlight too. The property manager helped us with all our questions before and during our visit. We are already talking about when we might go again!

Don't miss this beautiful lake experience!!!

  • 5 of 5

What a lovely setting and a comfortable, well-equipped house. The house and beautiful lake are even more excellent than the description! The photos more than reflect the beauty of the location. The property was very clean and well-maintained, with all new appliances and new bathrooms. I would recommend this property to any family or group of friends to share a lovely, intimate time together.

There is so much to explore in this gorgeous region of Western North Carolina. On the first day, near the house, we saw a baby hawk, wild turkeys, an otter, and many varieties of birds with their melodious songs. Roma is a great Italian restaurant nearby, also there is Lake James pub - about 30 minutes away, Bear Creek Marina is nearby, and Low Country Restaurant in Marion is great.

Don't miss this place and all the mountain experiences nearby.

Lake James is located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains which is nature at it's best. Enjoy fishing, skiing, sunning, golf, biking, and hiking all within minutes of this lake home. If you are able to pull yourself away from the lake, then do alittle shopping or vist a local winery. If golf is your game then enjoy the greens and the beautiful scenery just miles from the lake house.
