Guestbook comments from the owner

We have arrived safely in Port Isabel and are thrilled with the wonderful space we have walked into. As we crossed the threshold we were immediately embraced with the gentle spirit and comfort held within the walls of this home. Your attention to detail and the needs of your guest, far exceeds any expectations one might have.

I should mention that the pictures of this restful retreat barely begin to illustrate the comfort that surround its guest, there is so much more! We look forward to seven days of rest and relaxation.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Wonderful location, great deck to sit on and let the breeze keep you cool.

First of all the owner is great, he answered any questions I had very promptly, his description of the property was as described. We had a great time and really enjoyed the deck and dock with the great breeze to keep you cool. One of the best properties I have stayed at because Long Island Village is a guarded community with a security guard 24/7 that you have to drive thru to enter. We liked that we were able to bring our dog along and he seemed to love it also. I was able to fish and crab on the dock, we brought along some lights for night fishing and caught speckled trout. Hope to be able to come back again.

This is our 2nd year staying here and just as last year it was amazing! Fishing off the back pier was phenomenal, we caught tons. Mr. Sefton and everyone at Long Island Village are just amazing. We will be back next year for our next trip!!

very relaxing

  • 5 of 5

Had a great time not doing much of anything. Numerous trips down there but first time to stay off island and it was a totally different experience, LIV is a little community unto itself- met a lot of people just walking the dog and everyone very friendly. Unit was perfect for us (myself, husband and canine buddy) but might be a little cramped for more, view off deck is great and enjoyed watching all the going ons in the ship channel. Upon checkin we paid $10 for two bracelets that are required to use the facilities (pool) but when we got in the unit there were a couple of bracelets already there and we also left ours. Would definitely stay there again

Nice neat park model

  • 5 of 5

Vacation home was neat and clean. There is a covered carport we kept our toys under, plus additional parking space for pickup. Restaurants, such as "Isabel's" and "Will and Jacks Burger shack" are reasonable so we never cooked in kitchen. Long Island Village was busy on the weekend, but very sparsely populated during the week. Brook is quick to answer my emails before trip but didn't need to contact him while there.

A nice, comfortable place to stay

  • 4 of 5

A nice beach getaway. Comfortable and clean. A few ants in the kitchen, but nothing we couldn't handle. I know we paid a premium price because of the Labor Day holiday. But, what was supposed to be $125/night got really expensive with the usual taxes and other fees. There was a $22.50 service fee and a $59 liability policy you have to buy if you don't put up a $1500 deposit. Then, when we arrived, there was another $25 service and parking fee. The clubhouse closed at 3pm on a Saturday and was not open on Sunday, so we did not get to do any activities like billiards, ping-pong, or shuffleboard.

The deck was awesome. Bring fishing poles!
