About Julieta Slattery, owner

Former New Orleans resident and his wife purchased this home in their favorite neighborhood as a home away from home and their eventual retirement residence. In the meantime, they wish to share their beautiful home with other New Orleans afficionados.

Julieta Slattery, owner purchased this house in 2012

Why Julieta Slattery, owner chose Central City/Garden District

They chose this home because of its classic New Orleans architecture and its fully modernized amenities. It has all of the of home but is unmistakably New Orleans! Our block was recently featured in an article in the New Orleans Times Picayune.

Fabulous vacation, really cute house!

This charming house was the center piece of a great vacation. Who knew New Orleans had so much great stuff to do- and the house is so conveniently located. We will definitely have to come back.

Wonderful stay

  • 5 of 5

One of my people in my party said, "this is bigger than it looked in pictures." Very high ceilings, very beautiful place. Hosts were accommodating and responsive and I loved the place.

Gem of a house in NOLA--quaint, clean, comfortable, well stocked!!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and another couple spent a wonderful 5 days at this lovely home. We were in NOLA for the Jazz Festival, so we were not really in the home that much except for Sunday when the festival was rain delayed. The house is much bigger than it appears in the pictures--a long shotgun style home. Well appointed with comfortable furniture and beds. Plenty of clean towels, extra pillows and linens, well stocked kitchen with spices, condiments, etc. Walking distance to bars, restaurants, coffee shops, corner markets, Lafayette Cemetery, Commander's Palace and more. Used Uber and Left which arrived quickly.Communications with owner, Juliette, was excellent. Very clean. Owner very helpful. My husband left his suit and some other items in closet and owner promptly checked on it and shipped items to us in Virginia. Only disappointment was that we did not have more days to enjoy this gem.

Beautiful, Spacious Home!

  • 5 of 5

The location of this home was perfect for our trip to New Orleans. We were close to the main road to get to Canal Street and the French Quarters as well as near restaurants, shops, etc on Magazine Street. Julieta was amazing to send us pages of information about grocery stores, restaurants, sights, etc. which made things so easy for us to access. Her home is gorgeous and so roomy! I've rented many homes in the past and have never had such a well-equiped home. The linens are plush, the beds are very comfortable, the furniture is stylish quality and the kitchen has everything imaginable. We enjoyed the back deck area very much and felt very private. Our only challenge was parking due to the fact that several homes on the street are under renovation and all the construction workers come early, park on the street and leave very late which meant little space for residents to park. Of course this is no fault of Julieta. Everything about this home is first-class all the way! I highly recommend this home for an enjoyable stay outside the bustle of the French Quarter.
