Overview

About the property

Beachfront Studio right on the BEACH!!!

The Hale Le'a Le'a, which in Hawaiian means the “HOUSE OF GREAT PLEASURE”, resides beach front on the famous shoreline of North Shore Oahu.

Just steps to the beach and you'll be digging your toes in the sand and hopefully see a Honu or two, (our resident Hawaiian green sea turtles), bobbing in the the ocean. Our beach is serene and semi private, but if you prefer we are also close to all the world renowned North Shore beaches, such as Ali'i Beach, Chuns, Lonis, Waiamea Bay, Banzai Pipeline and Sunset beach.

Waialua is a wonderful and very centralized location. Just 2 miles to historic Haleiwa town. There you will find many unique boutique and surf shops. There is a wide array of restaurants, ranging from fresh local seafood, Thai food, Mexican food, “Kua Aina” for burgers and sandwiches, the food trucks that specialize in shrimp plates and don't forget Matsumoto's for a shaved ice.

The activities available are endless, from Scuba dives, deep sea fishing, Shark adventure tours, whale watching (seasonal), or rent surf boards, paddle boards, jet skis, kayaks or snorkel gear.

And a short drive to Dillingham Airport offers skydives, ultra light flight tours and glider rides. Mokuleia Beach, the Polo fields, horseback riding and Kaena Point are also nearby. And don't forget the Dole Pineapple Plantation, Waimea falls, the Polynesian Cultural Center and Turtle Bay.

Easy day trips to Pearl Harbor Memorial, Diamond Head Crater, Waikiki, Makapu'u Lighthouse, and shopping at the swap meet at Aloha Stadium.

And of coarse remember to just relax at Hale Le'a Le'a, the “HOUSE OF GREAT PLEASURE”. Listen to the sound of the surf and the trade winds blowing through the coconut palms with a Mai Tai in hand at sunset.

A little slice of heaven

  • 5 of 5

We had the most amazing time at Dennis and Lorraine's place. The hosts were accommodating, friendly, and definitely gave us our privacy. When we checked out, we stayed at a 5 star resort and it paled in comparison to the views at this place - we would have booked this for the full week knowing what we know now!

The apartment was very spacious, and you could practically throw a rock and hit the ocean while standing inside. The kitchen had your essentials, and was perfect for cooking up a yummy breakfast in the morning to eat on your private lanai. NOTHING beats how close you are to the water, and falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the waves was heavenly. The beach was so private and beautiful, and the town of Haleiwa was only about a 5 min drive for restaurants, a grocery store, and other shops.

We would recommend this place to anyone with a love of the ocean and wanting some real relaxation. We will certainly be back ourselves!

Beautiful, gorgeous and relaxing Beach front property.

  • 5 of 5

We have been to Hawaii twice to visit my son in the Navy. I would definitely go this airbandb route compared to the hustle and bustle of Honolulu . A studio apartment with a little kitchenette able to make our own meals and we really enjoyed grilling several meals outside on our private porch and yard. 50 feet from the beach, able to take walks every morning and swim when we wanted to , Thrilled to see sea turtles each time I went swimming. Our host Dennis and Lorraine gave us plenty of privacy but would stop by once in a while to see if there was any thing we needed. They went the extra mile and provided a blowup bed and linens for my daughter to stay with us a couple days to see her brother come in from his deployment . If we come to Hawaii again I would definitely consider staying here again .

Beautiful, Restful, Clean -- we loved it!

  • 5 of 5

After 10 years of marriage, my husband and I decided to take a honeymoon, our first trip to Hawaii--and we spent it here. The beach was just a few feet beyond the sliding doors and we left them open all night to fall asleep and wake up to sounds of the surf. The patio was comfortable, and shaded so we could spend as long as we wanted outside. We enjoyed local restaurants like Haleiwa Joe's and Breakers, and visited the rest of the island, delighted to be returning each evening to the peace and quiet of Waialua. Joanne took great care of us--responding quickly when we contacted her. WE'LL BE BACK!

Perfect relaxing location steps to the sea!

  • 5 of 5

Wow, we were impressed by the views and closeness to the ocean here, but the real bonus was the up close sound of the waves at night! I had the best sleep in weeks, the only other sound is birds at dawn!

The little kitchen is handy and we loved the deck. There's a comfy double bed and lounge with big TV, all in the same studio space. The laundry is fantastic after travel, it has a great, big shower and there is all you need including coffee, a welcome gift and everything from cutlery to shampoo! There is fast internet too, so you can work if you want to 😉

The nearby towns and famous north shore beaches are a short easy drive away but you will definitely need a car to get around. We loved it here! Mahalo!

Good place for a writers retreat

  • 5 of 5

I found this spot on the ocean a great place for my writing retreat. Th location on the beach is ideal for a quick swim and walk in the beach. The simple layout of the room was perfect for me. The chocolates and coffee were much appreciated. In addition, the well equipped and well maintained home was a pleasure to stay in. Thank you.
