About Jan Davis
We are excited to share the Northwest. Semi-retired, active in the outdoors and proud of our community gives us a unique understanding of how to welcome you and treat you like family. We take pride in making your vacation everything you hoped for.
Jan Davis purchased this House in 1997
Why Jan Davis chose Lowell
Our home has been in the family for nearly 100 years. It began as a favorite camp spot before the dams were built and before the paved highway. We built this home to blend into the scenery and feel like it had been here for years. Actually, it was built in 1996-1997. Before that time a trailer sat here. We think the improvements have been appropriate.
What makes this House unique
Its like camping with all the comforts of home. We provide 24 hr assistance. Close to Eugene events, and great for family reunions or just relaxing get away.

Dexter Lake property #432974
We stayed for a week in July. This is a wonderful property and exceeded all expectations! The view was great. The decks on the house were wonderful for relaxation. The house was very comfortable with nice privacy for six occupants.Close and easy access to Dexter, Lowell and Eugene. The owner Jan was very nice, and very helpful with questions and assistance. We would definitely visit again if the opportunity presents. We highly recommend this property .
A perfect location to visit the Lowell area for our family which included 3 young grandchildren. The house is well designed for a family----Bedrooms up and downstairs, large Kitchen and Living Room space. There is also a small upper yard which our kids enjoyed. Great deck with lounge chairs too. We would rent this home again if visiting in the area. Jan was very friendly and helpful to us suggesting places in the vicinity for family fun.
Thank you for staying in our vacation rental and treating it with respect and appreciation. You were great guests and I hope you come back again.
Relaxing Retreat (aka "The Birdhouse")
This trip was just what we needed to end the school year and begin our summer break. Jan is a gracious host who made our stay very comfortable. The house has a wonderful layout with views of lake and trees from every room. The furnishings are comfortable and cozy with interesting reading materials and games, as well as a well equipped kitchen for cooking and grilling. Our stay was relaxing and replenishing. We will definitely try to stay there again!
You were wonderful guests. We appreciate the way you treated our house like your home and left everything in order. Please come back again.
rustic setting; charming home; we loved our stay
A bit difficult to access from the highway but once there it was very quiet and suited our stay to a T. Only 20 minutes to Eugene and beautiful view of the lake and surroundings.
The house was perfect for us, housing 3 teenage and older kids and us (Mom and Dad). Each had enough privacy. The kids kept saying "this place is great."
Know that it is on well water (not street water) but generally up to date. The owner (Jan) was extremely hospitable and attentive to our needs.
We would stay here again if a trip to Eugene area is needed.
You were great guests and stayed calm and rolled with the storm and power outage like troopers. Can't thank you enough, and sincerely hope we can see you again.
The house was perfect for my family over the holidays. Everything we needed and more. J
Jan was a gracious host. One thing to know. They recycle here and we didn’t figure that out until the last day. Sorry for the commingled trash. We had the best time in this house.
I am sorry I missed your kind review. Your family was delightful and we are glad we could help in making your holiday fun. Please come back and stay again.
Lovely Home with Beautiful Views
This home was wonderful for our family while in Oregon. The house itself is bright, airy and spacious. The property is set back on a beautiful piece of property with the home looking out onto the lake. The owner is very kind and accomodating. I would recommend this home to anyone visiting the area.
We enjoyed meeting your family and so glad you enjoyed your stay. We hope you will come back again. Thank you for the respect and care you showed our home.
Centrally located between mountains and beaches. Twenty-five minutes to U of O, one hour to Oregon State. By car or air only one or two hours to Seattle, San Francisco, L.A., and Las Vegas, or Reno and Tahoe. World class golf at Bandon, fly fishing on the McKenzie River, or skiing and hiking the Cascades. Something for everyone!
