About Patricia McLaughlin
After dividing my time between Pudget Sound and Washington DC as I grew up I moved to Italy for four years before settling in Colorado. Breckenridge became a part time home to enjoy with my four children and their families.
Patricia McLaughlin purchased this House in 2003
Why Patricia McLaughlin chose Breckenridge Heights
The open floor plan and gourmet kitchen of this house has provided many hours of joy to family and friends. Enjoy the closet full of board games while you sit by the fire, or snuggle up with a great book.

Definitely a perfect Breckenridge Retreat! The house is well furnished and cozy. The kitchen had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable. The hot tub was wonderful. The lot is quite private and not far from town. Patti was very helpful and responsive. Thanks for a great stay!
Adequate but could be cleaner dusty and one bathroom wasn't clean.
We had to book this property last minute and in some respects it was very nice. We were traveling with 3 adult children and 2 dogs. The house was very accommodating for pets which included a nice pen for the dogs. I felt that the house could have been cleaner and less cluttered. The owners personal belongings were everywhere especially in the kitchen. Most of this was tolerable but when we only received a portion of our security deposit I was very disturbed. The owner claims that one of the dogs chewed her carpet. After a few attempts to get pictures two were sent. The main damage was claimed to be on the lower step which my family or I would have noticed. Can we prove it no but please be aware. I will say the location was very nice and served our family well. Debbie from Illinois
I did send the renter pictures of the damage to the carpet several days after the request as I was camping and did not have access to internet when the request first came in. During the many years of accepting dogs. this was the first time I have deducted any of the deposit from a renter but felt I could not ignore the damage to the carpet.
I do keep items such as a kitchen aid mixer, food processor. toaster oven, coffee maker, french press, electric hot water pot on the expansive kitchen counters for use by renters. I am posting detailed pictures of the kitchen on the site so potential renters can view the kitchen in more detail. I also have full sugar and flour canisters on the counter as well as a fully stocked spice cabinet available for renters. I fill the cookie jar to welcome renters.
The cleaning team has been instructed to deep clean in preparation for all renters and the hot tub is serviced weekly.
Fantastic house in Breckenridge
We just finished our vacation in Breckenridge. The house was wonderful. Plenty of room for all of us and the two dogs. This is a great set up for well behaved pets as the back of the house is set up to keep dogs in also a good sized kennel was provided by the owner so we could leave them if necessary without worrying about damage. The beds and furniture were very comfortable. Wifi was good for the mountains. Loved the dedicated ice maker in the bar, it kept up with our needs with no problem. If you have TV watchers in the group there are TV's in each bedroom with a great selection of channels including premium channels. We were very happy with our stay.
Excellent overall .
We will return.
This house is very well equipped for a family ski vacation! The kitchen has everything you could think for cooking, and there are lots of games. Being allowed to bring our dogs made it a great choice for us. Thank you.
It had everything you would want in a vacation home.
My family of eight adults stayed ten nights at the Breckenridge Home. All the rooms are a nice size so you don't feel crowded. The kitchen is well furnished so it is easy to fix meals. The best part of the house is the large deck. You have great views of the mountains and wildlife. Bird watching was fun seeing bird we don't have at home. There was always lots of birds and ground squirrel to watch with AM coffee. In the evening we had a visit from a fox and porcupine. Nice sized hot tub for after hikes. There were no problems with the house, everything worked and was very clean. It was a great place for our family vacation.
The original mining town of Breckenridge was founded in the 1850 and is still home for the Gold Pan Saloon that is one of the oldest standing bars west of the Mississippi. The world class ski resort opened in 1961 and now boasts the highest high speed quad lift in North America reaching 12,580 feet. Vast terrain includes trails for beginners as well as the most accomplished skier. But don’t stop at downhill. Enjoy the many cross country Nordic trails, snow shoeing, snowmobiling and ice skating during the winter. Don’t miss the many cultural events at the Breckenridge River Walk Center during both summer and winter. Dine in world class restaurants and visit the many shops along Main Street. Fill summer days with hiking, fishing, biking, horseback riding and golf. Take a short 9 mile drive to Lake Dillon for those who enjoy canoeing and sailing.
