About Adrian East

I am typically a city girl..LOVE the bright lights and excitement of NYC and feel perfectly comfortable in my Upper West Side apartment. I feel at HOME however, in this house in the Hamptons. I love the seclusion, I love the private wooded lot, the expansive, yet still cozy home. It offers me both..quiet solitude when I want it and tons to do when I choose to do something!

Adrian East purchased this house in 2002

Why Adrian East chose Hamptons

I bought in the Hamptons because...well...it IS the Hamptons! East Hampton? Well...why not go for the gold? East Hampton has it all...fabulous shopping and dining, great hidden spots where you can enjoy nature and both bird and people watching!

What makes this house unique

I LOVE that this house has so many separate areas for entertaining...the den, the living room, the overhead loft,

the front porch, the back deck and the lower pool level! It's great!

Great Hamptons stay

  • 5 of 5

Adrian, was a life savior for our family! We had rented a house in the Hamptons that looked nice but was extremely moldy inside when we got there. I was with my 16 month child and had to find a different house immediately to rent within a 12?hour period. Adrian responded promptly and advised that the house would be ready for us the next morning when almost no one else would.

The house is big and beautiful, really cozy with tons of lounging space and really comfortable big bedrooms. It is a nice property with a big back yard for the kids to play in and a nice pool. It was perfectly situated between Sag Harbor and East Hampton so the ride each way was about 5 minutes which we loved. The house is also in a nice quiet area so no need to worry about noise.

We had a wonderful time relaxing in the house! Thanks Adrian for being such a great host.

Owner's Response: Thank you for such a lovely review! Yes..I LOVE the fact that the house is so large with so many different areas to hang out in, that you always feel that you can get away to your own area if need be! Also do love the location...5 minutes makes a quick trip to the market to pick up a gallon of milk and quick and painless! I am so happy I could help, unfortunately, yours is not the only bad VRBO experience I've heard about...sorry that some owners are not as ethical as one would hope. Yes..you needed the house on short notice..thankfully it was cleaned right after previous tenants moved out..so we were all set! I don't know...I just trusted you and your family from the get go...GLAD I did! (see..I told you..there ARE way more good people in the world than bad! ). You are welcome again any time!

Enjoy a dream vacation in this beautiful home.

  • 5 of 5

I stayed at this lovely house with friends in July of this year.

We *loved* the location – the other reviews are spot on, it’s so tranquil you feel like you’re a million miles away from the city. But East Hampton Center and downtown Sag Harbor are really just minutes away.

The house is HUGE, and beautifully furnished. The owner, Adrian, has impeccable taste. We didn’t need it, but it was great that each bedroom has not only its own bath, but a separate sitting area. Many rooms of the house are newly-painted and the outdoor furniture was brand new.

The pool is beautiful, lovely to use or sit at, there’s a choice of sun or shade at any point during the day.

I can’t say enough about the owner, Adrian. She is a dream to deal with. She’s so organized and left use a detailed list about house and emergency contact numbers, and even took the time to offer suggestions about local events in a pre-arrival email. She’s so professional and fair-minded, I wish all business people were like her!

Choose this house and you’re sure to have a wonderful vacation in a place you’ll adore.

Owner's Response: So happy you loved both the house and location! Yes it IS huge...great for guests...not so great for the cleaning crew! :-) Even though it is expansive, I try to provide a cozy homey feel with the oversized comfy furniture! You were very observant about noticing that the pool offers either shade or sun throughout the day..I stay out of the sun totally, so love that I can always be in the shade, while others can stay and sun themselves to their hearts content! And thanks for the great personal feedback -- while I know I can't make ALL my guests happy ALL of the time, I've got a pretty good track record (all 5 star reviews so far!) and have built a solid reputation on being professional, organized and ethical. All important qualities to me personally! Thanks again and I look forward to your next visit!

Great Experience and Beautiful House!!

  • 5 of 5

I just rented this house for a girls weekend getaway. We were a group of 12 girls and we all fit perfectly and comfortably. The house is super spacious with a large kitchen where we were able to all cook together! The patio and backyard are amazing. We practically spent the whole weeked lounging and relaxing outside. The house, although it feels secluded, is actually just a short distance to town and the train station. It is also only a 15 min drive to the Woelfer Vineyards where we had a lovely tasting!

Comfortable escape, very secluded in NW Woods of East Hampton

  • 5 of 5

All the photos are accurate. I just rented it for 4 nights and enjoyed the house, pool, and east hampton overall. The house is very comfortable and takes no time to adjust. It is a large corner lot and all you can hear are the crickets chirp at night. You cannot see any other houses. It is quite secluded. Going into town is a quick drive, straight shot. At the end of the road of a 7 minute drive is practically Nick and Toni's, one of the top restaurants in town. The bay beach is one mile away, walking is possible, but we chose to drive. The owner is very efficient and detail oriented and provided a spreadsheet for all possible contingencies. She was responsive to my initial inquiry and questions that I had while I was in the house. We signed the lease and consummated the deal in a few hours. Easy, hassle free.

This property and its owner-manager are superb!

  • 5 of 5

I rented this house for fourteen people for July 4th weekend.

I found Adrian to be a consummate professional: she was extremely easygoing, provided two (excellent) references on request, and was highly responsive to any questions we had leading up the rental.

With regard to the house itself, it is a beautiful house, situated on the northern end of East Hampton. We made use of the pool and the grill, both of which were great. Adrian was also kind enough to leave us an extra tank of gas for the grill just in case we ran out as well.

The house has five bedrooms, plenty of bathrooms and a ton of living room space/couches. We had more people than the beds would sleep, so Adrian was also kind enough to leave us some extra sheets. The house is roughly a 1mi walk to a secluded bay beach. We drove to the beach one day and walked to the beach another day; both trips were great, and we did not feel the need to go the beaches in the village, which I would guess are about a 15min drive.

Finally, Adrian was prompt in returning our security deposit.

I'd highly recommend this house and its owner-manager to a family member or friend, as we had just a fantastic experience!

Owner's Response: Pleased to have another great review! I was a little hesitant to rent it to 14 single people in their twenties as it's not a "share" type house. But, the house was returned in excellent condition and the tenants were great and effectively allayed any concerns I may have had initially. One clarification though..the drive to the village beach is more like 5 to 6 minutes...worth it definitely, but not necessary as most people prefer the secluded bay beach which is, as Will states, within walking distance. It was a pleasure dealing with Will, who took the lead on this, I found him to be a true professional as well!

Excellent Getaway

  • 5 of 5

Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. My family and I had a great time and we loved that it was so convenient to the town of East Hampton. Actually, it was convenient to everything...Sag Harbor, Shelter Island , Amagansett.. I could not have asked for a better location! I enjoyed my jog to the private beach in the morning and my afternoon hike across the street from your house at the nature preserve. You have been fantastic and your house is a gem. Thank you and I'm looking forward to visiting again very soon.
