This beautifully renovated colonial apartment has one of the best views in all of Old San Juan. From its three big balcony windows you look out over the 500 year-old San Cristobal Castle and over the city walls, onto a panoramic ocean view. Swing the Spanish shutters open and let the sun and ocean breeze into your bedroom in the morning. Pull up a chair and read a book looking out over the Atlantic. It's a wonderful place to relax for a week or more. The apartment is spacious (1150 square feet) and architecturally designed with very high ceilings and interior archways. It’s on the second floor of a bright blue colonial two-story building and takes up the entire ocean view side (the entrance is on Calle del Sol but the apartment is actually on Calle Norzagaray so the views are unobstructed). It has two bedrooms - a master bedroom (with the view right from your bed) and a very nice medium-sized bedroom - each with its own Spanish-tiled bathroom for privacy. The living room space, dining area and kitchen are all open, and connect to an indoor patio where the occasional afternoon rain can be heard coming down through the open skylight. This also allows for a refreshing cross-ventilation, so the air conditioners are usually only necessary on very hot days. The place is furnished with traditional plantation-style furniture in dark hardwood - the two queen beds are modern and comfy. We love this apartment, and if you’re like us you might be tempted to spend a lot of time just relaxing inside, but you have to get out and experience Old San Juan. The location is super-convenient: • You’re right next to the San Cristobal Castle which, along with El Morro just a few blocks away, are the two oldest and best restored military fortresses in the Western hemisphere. • There is a scenic walk (or free trolley) along the city wall connecting the two castles, with grassy parks along the way where the locals fly kites (you can buy a kite for $3 from the guy who sells piraguas from a cart). • Walk 10 minutes the other way and you get to a nice small beach, and a little further is a bigger beach and then Condado, the more modern and trendy side of San Juan. • There are great restaurants and bars within a few blocks of the apartment, as well as live music, great shopping, art galleries, quaint museums, and all the necessary conveniences (supermarket, pharmacy, etc). • All of the main historic sites are within a 10-minute walk. Most of the streets in the area are made of Italian blue cobblestone that dates back to the 16th century, and the whole place - pastel buildings, lively people, artsy vibe, and tropical warmth - feels like unique little jewel. Don’t waste your money on a hotel with no view, no kitchen, and no privacy, or on a standard apartment that’s more or less the same as any other. Stay in our wonderful condo and be part of the real Old San Juan experience. **please note: the apartment is in a residential building - guests must be willing to respect our rules and maintain a peaceful and quiet environment. No parties or loud behavior is allowed, and mature guests are preferred.

Old San Juan Condo with amazing view and location
This is a character property with wonderful ocean views. All of Old San Juan is walking distance and the condo is by Castillo San Cristobal.
The windows face the busy Norzagaray Road, but with earplugs, this didn't affect sleeping. Plaza Colon
Don't miss out on the local beach - it was not sign posted but stairs are opposite the Capitol Building (less than 15 minutes easy walk). Great for Swimming, snorkeling and sunbathing. There is plenty to see and do in the area so try to have a few days here.
Wanda met us for check in and check out and was great. We loved staying here and hope to return.
The apartment is in a perfect location and we highly recommend it! The view of the ocean is awesome - just like the photos. Very clean and comfortable. Lourdes met us at the appointed times to check in and check out - she was great! The beds are comfortable - linens are nice. The air conditioning is a must to have in the bedrooms but in the living area when you open the windows the cross breeze feels great. Don't forget to bring a hairdryer (I could not find one so I assume they do not have one.) Puerto Rico is open for business - do not worry about Hurricane Maria's effect. Power and water have been restored to Old San Juan and locals need your tourist dollars!
Great property amazingly located
Stayed here with 7—year old twins and loved everything about this place: the view, closeness to everywhere, spaciousness and design. Will definitely be back.
I did my research and wanted to be able to wake up in the morning and see the waves crashing with that beautiful relaxing sound of the ocean. I was not disappointed!
Once I got up I could look out over the balcony and see the early risers jogging or riding their bikes.. I felt ten years younger!!
Not sure if it was the local Beer or the exercise, but I slept better here then anywhere else in the last ten years…
You can literally see and walk the entire Old San Juan area in one hard day, two if you stop occasionally to sample the food and beer.
Thanks Guys for a wonderful vacation. We will be back soon…
Fantastic location! Wanda who met us was very nice and helpful. Comfortable environment. Mosquito
Being mosquito spray. There were candles but no matches. Overall, great girls trip!
Lots of character
I loved my stay in this Old San Juan colonial house. It´s cozy, clean, quiet and inspiring. I will certainly come back again.
Old San Juan is the oldest city on US Territory and part of the World Heritage. It is about 8 by 8 blocks of unique colonial style architecture and offers everything from restaurants, bars, Puerto Rican coffee shops, galleries, open air music, and nice paths to walk by the Port & Ocean, tourist shops, Marshalls, grocery store to a drug store with pharmacy. The closest unofficial beach is in front of the Capitol Building in about 10-15 walking minutes from almost anywhere in Old San Juan. The nearest blue flag beach is called El Escambron and can reached in about 25-30 minutes walking along the Atlantic Ocean or in about 5 minutes by car/ taxi or bus. Old San Juan has a bus station from where you can go to Plaza Las Americas, the biggest mall in the Caribbean, to the Convention Center, as well as to Condado and Isla Verde, the other two main tourist spots along the coast of San Juan. Condado and Isla Verde are the modern parts of the city and have great beaches, hotels & casinos & much more... Learn more about Parking in Old San Juan: Old San Juan provides free of charge on street parking, which is usually hard to find. It is more likely to find a spot between 6am and 8am and between 4pm and 7pm. During business hours and later at night it might take a while to find a spot and it can turn out to be challenging at times. All of our apartments are within walking distance of parking buildings and/or lots, providing overnight rates or hour rates starting at $1.25 and $0.50 for the additional hours. The most economic parking rental is a public lot by Paseo de la Princesa at the southwest city wall of Old San Juan. There are several parking buildings all over town: “Ballaja” on the northwest section of Old San Juan right by El Morro, “La Cochera” in the center of town on Calle Luna between Cruz and San Justo Street (which offers 24 hour rate for about $25), “Dona Fela” in the south center on Recinto Sur and the most economic parking building “Covadonga” right on top of the public bus station as well on Recinto Sur, one block east of the Old San Juan Sheraton Hotel.
