Why Kiawah: The Summer 2012 issue of Coastal Living ranked Kiawah Island #1 as the “most blissful place to live along the coasts of the United States”. Writer Tracey Martin says, “If heaven had a zip code, it would have to be 29455. This exquisite barrier island is home to 10 miles of unspoiled fine-sand beach; wild-growing palmetto oak, and magnoalia trees; a veritable Noah’s ark’s worth of mammals and rare birds; and 1.626 lucky residents. With small-town charms and proximity to the gracious urbanity of Charleston, Kiawah makes the ideal possible: a vacation-like lifestyle with easy access to commerce and culture. Home to five award-winning golf courses, the island will play host to the PGA Championship in August. Frankly, life here is one sweet day of play after another- biking on the 30-plus miles of paved paths, or shopping at local hub Freshfields Village (at the crossroads of Kiawah, Seabrook, and Johns islands). Residents often kayak down the tree-shaded Kiawah River to watch egrets, herons, and bald eagles enjoying their sanctuary. And when the sun goes down on this paradise, you’ll be amazed at the sea of stars above.”

About Ivan Kovac
My mom visited Charleston on a medical conference and toured Kiawah with fellow doctors. She brought my dad and me down on a summer vacation and we fell in love. We purchased a 1 bedroom villa in 2004, which we still own, but I grew up and wanted my own bedroom. We purchased this beautiful private home on the 4.5 star Cougar Point Golf Course.
Ivan Kovac purchased this House in 2012
Why Ivan Kovac chose West Beach
My home is located on a quiet cul-de-sac. This beautiful home offers superb lagoon views, as well as views of Cougar Point's 9th and 10th fairways. The spacious living room showcases golf course and lagoon views through floor-to-ceiling windows. The living room opens to a deck with entrances to the master suite and the screened porch.

Fantastic property for a weekend in Kiawah
Effortless check in and check out. Spacious accommodations. Nice view! Really great value. I strongly recommend.
My wife and myself created the atmosphere that we enjoy and love the view from our spacious Living Room on the 10th fairway and the lagoon. .At sunset it's beautiful to view from either the deck or either the living room or the Master suite.
Wonderful place to stay!
We had a wonderful stay at this house. House was very clean and had a beautiful view. Can’t wait to stay here again and bring our children with us!
We pride ourselves on keeping the home health and clean. The Resort oversee the house keeping and as a 5 Star Resort does a 5 Star clean.
Quiet and convenient to everything
Lovely setting and lots of space to relax with family and friends . Close walk to beach and easy access to amenities
The setting is lovely and the beautiful fairway and lagoon offers a special pleasurable sunset. When the grand children visit the fabulous Herron Park Complex is a must afforded to only persons who have Resort amenities package. If you only have one car the Resort amenities supplies transportation to any place on Kiawah Island. From Herron park we walk to the beaches.
House was very roomy, clean and had everything we needed. There are so many seating areas, our group of 6 did not even use them all. Nice to have 3 bathrooms; comfy beds and equipped kitchen. There were TVs everywhere! We would definitely return.
Our comfortable home also has 3 Full bathrooms as well as wall mounted TV"s in every room. It can also accomodate 8 people. The views from the Master bedroom has a beautiful view of a lagoon and the 4.5 Courger Point 10th green. The windows give the large Living room a full view of the course as well as breataking view of the sun setting. The livingroom has a large constructed fireplace that is a center point to accentuate a comfy. spacious area to relax.
Very nice, private house in a convenient location. It's spacious and comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We hope to be back soon. Thank you.
Great view of golf course...very relaxing!
We had a great time with our dog staying at this house. Loved all the windows and natural light, cozy living room, and enjoyed sitting outside watching the golfers. Our dog loved the house and it was easy for us to take her outside on a leash when she needed to go. We would stay here again!
Thank you for your review and be assured that you would be welcome back. I try to spend as much time at the my Kiawah home as posible. My wife is still working a 24/7 exsistence in our other home in Va Beach, Va and we both love Kiawah as we love the ocean and tennis and enjoy our home away from home. My Yorkie loves the golf course and we walk on it in the earlie evenings as the Sun sets over the lagoon. Looking foward to your return visit. Ivan Kovac
