Less than a mile away are St. Thomas, Macalester and Concordia colleges, and in less than 3 miles are Hamline, the St. Paul Campus of the University of Minnesota, and St. Catherine University. The Minnesota State Fairgrounds, hosting one of the best state fairs in the United States (1st place in USA Today 2015 Reader's Choice Award) , is just 2.5 miles away. Via the light rail, which is a short 4 block walk from this home, you have access all of the major sports, concert and special event stadiums the Twin Cities have to offer--US Bank Stadium (Vikings), Target Field (Twins), Xcel Center (Wild), Target Center (Timberwolves), TCF Stadium or Marinucci Arena or Williams Arena (Gophers). Starbucks is at the end of the block, and within 4 blocks, on "happening" Selby Avenue, is Whole Foods, O'Gara's and many great restaurants, bars and shops. If you prefer to navigate by vehicle, you are just 1 ½ blocks to Interstate 94, which will carry you east or west between Minneapolis and St. Paul.
THE HOME: This home was fully remodeled by licensed contractors in the Fall of 2016. Beautifully refinished wood floors and period woodwork, including the original built-in buffet and open stairs, retain the character of this 1919 home, while the new kitchen (new cabinets, new appliances, granite counters) and updated bathrooms provide classy comfort for your stay. The open concept living/dining/kitchen provides a nice atmosphere to entertain guests or watch the kids. The master bedroom on the first floor includes a full on-suite bathroom. Upstairs you will find 3 additional bedrooms and another full bathroom. No cold feet in this Minnesota home--both bathrooms have heated tile floors! All of the mattresses (3 queen and 2 twin) are new with high quality pillow tops, ready to provide a good night's sleep for up to 8 guests. Enjoy morning coffee or evening refreshments on the cozy enclosed front porch. Furnishings are new, with a few vintage pieces added. Free laundry on site. Newly paved off-street parking behind the home.
New stainless steel appliances include a large refrigerator with ice and water dispenser on the exterior of the door, gas stove, dishwasher, and built-in microwave. The kitchen is fully stocked with coffee maker, tea kettle, blender, can opener, other small appliances, pots and pans, dishes, glassware, utensils, linens--you need only bring the food and drinks.
Linens for the bedrooms and bathrooms are provided.
Wall-mounted flat screen TVs are in the living room, the master bedroom, and in two of the bedrooms. Cable is included.
The standard rate applies to stays of two nights. We provide a discount on weekly and monthly stays, which will be automatically calculated into your quote.
FEES: Each stay will be charged a cleaning fee. The home will be cleaned and all linens washed and changed once after each stay. For stays greater than a week, additional cleaning services can be arranged for you at your cost.

About Nancy Tuttle
For many years, my husband and I have rented vacation rental homes, on our annual cross-country ventures with the kids, and several times for adult getaways. We enjoyed have the extra space and comfort of home, while being able to enjoy home-cooked meals, play games, or just hang out comfortably together. We've held vacation time share property for more than twenty years. This property is located in a quiet neighborhood, yet so very close to many restaurants and bars (O'Gara's, Starbucks, Neighborhood Cafe, etc.) and just a couple of blocks from Whole Foods, Starbucks, cafes, shopping etc. It is centrally located to the St. Paul colleges, so it is handy for families visiting students. And for those venturing to concerts, sporting events, or other activities in either downtown, metro-transit (bus or light rail) is very close, and the entrance to I-94 is literally a block and ½ away. It's the perfect spot to experience the area, while feeling quite at home.
What makes this House unique
Off-street parking is desirable, and we have plenty--we paved a lot off the back alley that will comfortably accommodate 4 vehicles. While this is necessary in the event of a snow emergency in the winter (when the streets need to be plowed), it is also truly a convenience if the street parking gets limited. Very nice home with everything we needed.
Located close to both Downtown St. Paul and Minneapolis. 10 minute walk to light rail. Very centrally located in the Twin Cities. The home itself is in very good condition with a kitchen with modern amenities and a large dining and living room. Heated floors in the bathrooms are a nice feature too. Ample off street parking as well. I would stay again for sure and any property owned by the same people. We had a great week!

Wonderful property awaits
This house worked wonderfully for my family. We were six adults and 6 month old baby. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need to cook and there was a Whole Foods near by. The hardwood floor was beautiful and the bathrooms were very clean. Dishwasher worked perfect too. The oven was gas and frozen pizzas cook great! The entertainment was cable TV with all the standard cable networks. We found the beds to be very comfortable and the house was well heated during an extended Minnesota cold snap. Nancy was easy to contact and very responsive. This would be a great place in the summer too or even state fair time.

This house was exactly what was shown in the pictures. We were 7 adults and a three year old
Lovely baths with heated floors. Nicely appointed kitchen. Comfortable chairs and beds. Walking distance to Starbucks for the New York Times. We shopped at the super target on university to avoid the parking at Whole Foods and we're delighted with the selection including an array of gluten free breads. Who knew! We'd happily return - especially since it's within an easy walk of my daughter's place.

A lovely home away from home
The house was perfect for our stay. We were in town for a small family reunion. It was so nice to have 3 rooms with queen beds, hard to find it seems, and another room with bunk beds for the kids. The décor is beautiful and everything in the house very clean! There were plenty of towels and blankets and seating for all of our family. Also, plenty of convenient parking. I have to say the comfort of the house helped us really enjoy family time. And Nancy was always quick to respond to any questions we had. We will be back!

Take a walk to the end of the block, to get your mojo on at Starbucks. Or walk a few more blocks to the coffee bar or juice bar at Whole Foods, which opened in 2016. Great food is found at Whole Foods, which is complete with a bar/restaurant, or across the street at O'Gara's or the Neighborhood Cafe.

Additional information about rental rates
Rates are subject to change until payment is received in full. This is absolutely a NO SMOKING PROPERTY--no smoking inside the home or outside the home! If evidence of smoking is found in any form (i.e. the smell of smoke, butts in the lawn, etc.), the entire security deposit will be retained by the owner. CANCELLATIONS: A non-refundable reservation deposit of $500 applies to all reservations. Under no circumstances will the Service Fee charged by the booking platform or the reservation deposit be refunded. Except as provided for monthly rentals in the following paragraph: • Cancellations that are made more than thirty (30) days prior to the arrival date incur a cancellation fee equal to the reservation deposit. • Cancellations made more than (14) days and up to thirty (30) days prior to arrival will forfeit the reservation deposit and fifty percent (50%) of the rental fees. • Cancellations made fourteen (14) days or less prior to the arrival date will forfeit the reservation deposit and one hundred percent (100%) of the rental fees. MONTHLY RESERVATION CANCELLATIONS: Monthly renters must cancel or change a check-in date in writing at least one hundred twenty (120) days prior to check-in. Monthly renters who make a change that results in a shortened stay must make such change in writing at least ninety (90) days prior to the original check-out date. FALSIFIED RESERVATIONS: Any reservation obtained under false pretense will be subject to forfeiture of the reservation deposit and one hundred percent (100%) of the rental fees, and the reserving party will not be permitted to check in.
