Tree House is Awesome

  • 5 of 5

The tree house is cozy. The walk to Hills Pond was only 5 minutes away. We really enjoyed our stay. We can't wait for next year!

Perfect!!

  • 5 of 5

Loved this perfect dog friendly cabin in the woods. We were 3 adults and 1 dog and we had a great time.

Location- This cabin is perfectly located between a pond(1 min walk) and sunset lake (5 min walk), with access to beaches on both. We spent quite some time swimming in the pond and the lake. Lake winnipesaukee was 15 mins by drive and so was the Supermarket. The trail head to Mt Major is also 15 mins drive.

Cabin- Cabin is very clean and well maintained. It has a very warm and cozy feeling to it. There was grill to do BBQ, Books to read, Games to play, DVDs to watch movies. The kitchen was well stocked. All we had to get was stuff to BBQ :) There was a fire pit outside, which we didn't use, but can imagine it will be great to sit by in cooler weather. Our city dog enjoyed walking about in the front yard and hanging out at the deck. When we arrived, everything was as described in the posting.

Host- Mike is a great host. He always replied promptly to any messages we sent him before, during and after the stay. He suggested things we could do around and places to eat. We checked-in at the cabin late at night and the key was where Mike said it will be. Thanks for suggesting the Mt Major trail. Our dog and us loved hiking it and the views from the top were just breathtaking.

This was a very off the grid relaxing vacation. We had a great time and enjoyed our stay at the cabin. We feel we will be returning back to the cabin for more vacations. Thank you for sharing your wonderful "Tree House" with us!!

Hidden Gem off the Grid

  • 5 of 5

All we can say is WOW!. Talk about a stress free 3 nights. We celebrated Thanksgiving here. We had 5 adults and our 2 dogs, which was a huge plus for us. It was strange watching TV without being able to pause, rewind, or fast forward a recorded show. It was truly a treat. While cell service and internet on our phones was spotty, this too was a nice treat. The weather was perfect for walks with the dogs too. The location is very quiet. The back deck has a propane fire pit that took the chill off while we were outside talking and enjoying the outdoors. The communication with the home owners was excellent. Michael was very quick to respond to any questions I had. We also spotted 2 red foxes in the next door yard, which was a very cool sight. If you want a place to get away, and feel right at home, this is the place.

We found everything we've been looking for

  • 5 of 5

This was a last minute rental, we booked the house only 5 days before our planned arrival. The host made the process very easy and straight forward, he was very responsive, answered all the questions and suggested attractions , places and restaurants worth visiting. The house was comfortable, spacious and tastefully decorated, TV in every room, board games, sand toys helped keep our three young kids busy. They LOVED the beautiful lake, which is less than 5 min away, most of the walk is along quiet private dirt road, away from speeding cars. The beach is quiet and clean, the water clear and warm, with plenty of shallow area, safe for young kids or beginning swimmers.

Clean comfortable house, helpful host that made us feel welcome, picturesque lake, only few minutes away from beautiful Winnipesaukee, we have found what we've been looking for and .... made arrangements for next year.
