Gorgeous Views of Samana Bay
Spent spring break in this villa. The villa itself has a comfortable open layout with full A/C coverage. Every room has a view of the bay, which is incredible. The outside pool and covered patio was the spot to be during sunset. It's convenient and accessible to all attractions in the Samana Bay like Cayo Levantado, Samana city, Parque Los Haitises, ATVs, waterfalls, etc. Overall, fantastic stay and recommend to anyone seeking vacation in Samana.
Beautiful and Relaxing
For those who do not like staying in large resorts, this house in Samana is perfect. Situated in a community of houses with a marina, there is plenty to do. Take a dip in the house pool or go down to the marina to try the infinity pool (my favorite).
The house itself is great for a larger group. There is a bedroom with 2 beds downstairs and 2 bedrooms upstairs, each with it's own full bath. The kitchen and living room area are roomy and if it's a nice evening, you can sit on the patio instead.
I admit, I was hesitant to go to Samana at first since it's not a city I had heard of, but there are beautiful beaches, opportunities to go on ATV rides through the forest, and zip lining. In addition the town of Samana has restaurants and a grocery store if you prefer to cook like we did.
Puerto Bahia Marina & Residences is located on the southern shore of the Samaná Peninsula, Dominican Republic one of the most beautiful bays in the world. The Dominican Republic has a modern airport system in the main regions of the country, providing comfortable and efficient access. Given its location in the bay, sailing from Puerto Rico, Bahamas and Florida is ideal for those who rather arrive by water. Puerto Bahia is a full service marina in the north end of Samana Bay, the top cruising ground of the Dominican Republic. Numerous secluded safe harbors, intimate caves, fishing grounds, stretches of sandy beaches, and other destinations invite exploration and offer memorable days of pure pleasure. Described by Christopher Columbus as “the fairest land on the face of the earth,” the Samana Peninsula is considered by Dominicans and visitors alike as the prettiest part of the island of Hispaniola. It is the jewel in the crown of Republica Dominicana. And with much of the Caribbean now well-developed, the peninsula’s pristine beaches and sparsely-populated, mountainous terrain resplendent with an abundance of tropical vegetation are not only a welcome change, but are all that remain of the true magic of the tropical Caribbean. There’s plenty of seashore to explore before you pick your spot to bask in the golden sun. However, in addition to Samana’s many beaches including our world-class beach at Playa Rincon, our peninsula also has a number of other attractions assuring a memorable, activity-packed vacation for our visitors. From short excursions shopping in the local farmers’ market to overnight camping trips at the tip of Cape Samana (Cabo Samana in Spanish) to horseback riding in the surf to hiking through the mountains to the waterfall at el Limon to whale watching: we’ll keep you busy as you want as there’s plenty to do and see on our peninsula.
