About the property

Family friendly 2 Bedroom + Loft, 1 Bath.

If you’re looking for a quite family getaway in the tall pines, THE TREE HOUSE is perfect for you.

Located by Walker (about 2000 feet higher and 30 minutes away from the center of Prescott), this cozy cabin will offer a cool and relaxing retreat from the warmer temperatures of downtown.

From a rooster-themed kitchen, to the grizzly-bear loft, every square inch of this property is decorated with lovely mountain accents--affording beautiful ambiance in a rural, family-oriented setting. THE TREE HOUSE has hard-wood floors in the kitchen and carpet thru-out the rest. The master bedroom has a queen-size bed and the guest room has 2 twins. Upstairs you’ll find custom-made bunk beds, and off the loft…a special surprise room for the kids.

This cabin offers all the amenities you’d find at home: a dishwasher makes cleaning up easy and modern, a washer/dryer allows for convenience during longer stays, and satellite TV with DVD/VCR offers movies, music, and sporting event entertainment.

Enjoy the outdoors as well—a spacious deck, large patio seating area, and a cozy grill corral complete the property. Access is about 3 miles of dirt road and ends with a steep driveway leading this wonderful retreat.

THE TREE HOUSE is perfect for family getaways, fabulous girls’ weekends, or even for a party of two.

Looked great, smelled great

  • 5 of 5

This was a great de-stresser, high in the hills after a fun drive up four miles of dirt road. Darcy was a pleasure to work with, and the cabin looked beautiful. It smelled great too, of pine and warm chapparal. There were a zillion movies in drawers under the TV, but it was Olympics time so that was what I watched in the evening. The hot water shower worked great, the beds were comfortable, the hammock was super soporific and the kitchen was really well supplied. I never needed A/C and don't even know if the house has it or not.

Darcy left coffee and odds and ends for use. The neighbors were quiet and I went into Prescott for most of my hiking, as there are many trails in Prescott, but there was a forest orange-blazed trail about a mile down from Darcy's on which I saw a beautiful buck and a doe. I also saw a huge salamander with a blue tail.

I had rented a Ford Fiesta, and no way could it get up the driveway, but I parked at the bottom and carried things from/to there.

While I was there I went to the Cowboys and Poets show in Prescott, Yavapai College; it's for three days so if you're there when it's going on it's worth a visit.

Labor Day Getaway

  • 5 of 5

This was the best weekend we could have asked for. Darcy was great to work with, flexible and did a great job with directions, and letting us know what we needed to do upon arrival to open up the house. When we arrived, the cabin exceeded our expectations. It is absolutely adorable, quaint, and perfect for a family get away. We enjoyed coffee on the deck watching the squirrels and birds, cooking dinners (enough pots/pans/cookware for a family of 5). Movie selection was great, views awesome, beds comfy and home cozy and comfortable. Thanks for a magnificent experience and helping to create great family memories.

Home Away From Home

  • 5 of 5

The owners are a dream to work with right from the start and want to ensure a pleasant stay for all guests. You'll love the beautiful fireplace and picturesque windows which are great for viewing true "snowbirds" and fluffy squirrels on the large deck. Cooking is made simple with a well-equipped kitchen and touches of home throughout. The kids will love their special retreat upstairs! Drawers of classic movies await all ages. Close to lakes, a community playground and miles of trails. The "Tree-house" is a place where fond memories are made.

Thanksgiving Weekend 2014

  • 5 of 5

This little cabin is perfect in every way. It was quiet and just secluded enough. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could think of needing, even making a turkey dinner with all the trimmings. My boys loved taking little hikes and I was able to take some amazing family photos. Worth every penny!!!

Father's Day getaway

  • 5 of 5

We loved staying at the tree house! The entire house was beautiful. We opened the windows for a wonderful breeze and the sound of the trees was amazing:). The kitchen was a dream to cook in- it was so well stocked with cookware, that you could make anything at all- that never happens in a rental! We had an amazing time and can't wait to visit again!
