Located in a quiet residential area, a walk or take a short drive to the heart of downtown Colorado Springs where you can enjoy coffee shops, bars, restaurants, shopping, parks, festivals and more. The house is a short drive to all of the major tourist attractions in the area, including Manitou Springs, Garden of the Gods Park, Pikes Peak and more.

Built in 1905, the classic bungalow retains many of its original features including the original wood floors, doors, kitchen cabinets, wood trim, and many more unique details. With an updated bathroom and all new stainless steel appliances in the kitchen, the bungalow offers the best of both worlds: old world charm with modern amenities. The house has central air and heat for comfort in all seasons.

Whether you are traveling for business or pleasure, this two bedroom (plus bonus room), one bath house has all you'll need for your trip. In addition to the fully equipped kitchen, there is a full-size washer and dryer, outdoor seating in a fully fenced yard, a grill and a fire pit, front porch swing with a view of Pikes Peak, fluffy comforters and soft sheets, and so much more to make you feel right at home.

The two bedrooms (one king, one queen and one single sleep 5 with additional space for guests on the two sleeper sofas (one double, one single). The dining room table seats up to 8 people, and the kitchen is stocked with all one will need to prepare meals at the house, even spices.

About Catherine

Currently living in the Austin, Texas area, we are a family of five (three kids, mom and dad) who love to travel. I am originally from Michigan but have lived all over as a child (including Colorado Springs!) thanks to military. My husband is from Munich, Germany. He has lived in the U.S. for sixteen years now and is an electrical engineer.

Why Catherine chose East Colorado Springs

My husband and I travel as often as possible with our three kids. Wherever we travel to, we often end up renting a house or apartment instead of a hotel. For many years now, we have had a dream of owning a vacation home that we could share with others. Having family in Colorado Springs, we thought this would be the perfect spot. We love the mountains, the dry air (we live in humid Texas!) and the variety that downtown Colorado Springs offers.

What makes this house unique

I've always loved older homes. When we looked at this house, the realtor pulled out an old skeleton key from the lock box and I fell immediately in love! I felt like it was a dream come true to find a house that still had many of the classic, early 1900's details, including original woodwork. The heating system pulley (in the kind bedroom) and original wiring for the phone lines are so cool!

Quiet Neighborhood, adorable house, convenient location

This house was perfect for us! Our family of 4 (kids aged 10 and 7), plus my dad, used the convenient location to visit Garden of the Gods and family nearby. Compared to all of us crammed into 2 hotel rooms, renting this house was so much better! We used the space to spread out (my dad took the cozy front room, and had a little separation from our kids in the back room). We also played games and used the cozy kitchen. Wifi worked great.

I would highly recommend this house, and will probably stay here again next time we're in town

Great location and dog friendly

My husband and I and our 2 dogs enjoyed staying here and agreed it was much better than a hotel. The house is comfortable and the owner is very responsive. It has a full size fridge and kitchen which we utilized during our short stay. The location is great. It's close to Garden of the Gods and several dog friendly breweries. The home is older and quaint with lots of character.

Very Comfortable Stay

We really enjoyed the bungalow. It was clean, quiet and had everything we needed, including A/C and we could have our dogs with us! Catherine was super responsive and accommodating. We are relocating to Colorado Springs but if we need extra space for family when they visit, we will definitely use this property again.

Lovely character home

Our family of 5 (2 adults, 3 kids) enjoyed the spaciousness of this home - everybody was able to claim a room/bed of their own! It was well outfitted and in a convenient location. The home owner was responsive and easy to communicate with. Great stay!

The house is within walking distance to the heart of downtown Colorado Springs where you can enjoy nightlife, shopping, restaurants, people watching, coffee shops and parks. Tucked away into a quiet residential neighborhood with turn of the century houses which makes for near perfect walks as you can look at all of the different architectural features of the many different homes in the neighborhood. If you need to get away from city life, you can easily be in the mountains within a 15 minute drive. And headed to other parts of the city? With our central location, you can get just about anywhere you need to go in the vicinity within twenty minutes. The house is located only a little over an hour away from Denver.
