This is our weekend retreat and a place we consider a hidden secret. We never want to leave but not retired yet so have to go back to our 'real lives'. We found this place while camping at Salt Springs and rented a boat for the day. It had just gone on the market and it was next door to a piece of property my husband had bought and sold over 20 years ago. He always wanted to be on the river but took him 20 years to make that dream come true.
Karen purchased this House in 2012
Why Karen chose Putnam County
It was meant to be for so many reason and so many coincidences and fate that made this purchase possible we knew it was our destiny.

Simply the best
Very clean, quiet and convenient. Home had all that was needed and more. We would definitely stay there again. I would highly recommend it to others.
Thank you, Karen.
Beautiful piece of heaven!
Absolutely as described. House was well appointed with all things comfortable. You walked in feeling at home the moment you entered. Sunsets were gorgeous! If you want great seafood Corky Bells in Palatka is great. We went twice. Renegades has delicious shrimp and grits. This was a perfect weekend! Will definitely return. Karen was a dream to work with and kept in touch even on her honeymoon. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful home.
THANK YOU and SO SO happy you felt at home and enjoyed the sunsets and all the home has to offer.
It really is a special place for us and makes us happy when others appreciate the place.
Look forward to having you back.
Beautiful Home on Beautiful Setting
The pictures don't lie on this home. The sunsets really are this gorgeous! The home has been remodeled very well and everything you could want has been thought of. Comfortable seating, full kitchen with super nice appliances, comfortable beds, etc. You name it! We rented the home with the intention of staying a week so my husband could fish while I worked remotely from the home (thankfully my job allows for that). Sadly, we didn't get to stay the whole week as he got sick with an upper respiratory infection and had to leave early. Karen was great to deal with throughout the reservation process, check-in, and our early checkout. She even checked in on us after we had gotten home to see how my husband was feeling. She genuinely felt bad that we couldn't stay the whole week. Would highly recommend staying here. Great experience!
Thank you! I do hope your husband has recovered. You were awesome to work with and it is guest like you that motivate me to continue to rent our little gem. Hope you are able to return.
Lovely, well maintained home!
We had a really relaxed time on the St. James river. The house could not have been any better for us. Would definitely consider coming back.
Hope to see you back!
Beautiful St. John's River location
The house is everything you coukd ask for. Well furnished, comfor table mattresses, and clean. Karen was a wonderful host. The stay was painless. Thank you.
Happy to hear! We do our best to ensure the best experience.
Great home in a quiet location
My family stayed here over the Thanksgiving holiday to get away and have some downtime and we were really pleased with the home. There's plenty of space inside and it's well appointed. There was enough room for the kids to play in one room while the adults socialized in another. The dock offered some amazing sunset views. Looking forward to staying here again in the future!
Love to hear this! Thanks and look forward to seeing you again.
A pure slice of 'Old Florida' - a hidden treasure and a place to unwind and recharge.
