About patrick Simoneaux

My wife and i have been long time bluffton residents and raised our two children at this home. The children are grown now and we are semi-retired and live just a few miles away. With the birth of our first grandchild we have begun to spend more time back at the old homestead to enjoy family. All of our children's friends still love to come over when the house is not occupied to jump off the grand diving board they used as children.

patrick Simoneaux purchased this cottage in 1993

Why patrick Simoneaux chose Bluffton

The sunsets here are often photographed and published in local and regional magazines. The river is expansive and provides a low horizon to the west. and the best thing is ALL year long sunsets.

What makes this cottage unique

21 feet of water at high tide and no bridges to navigate, the May river offers excellent access to the calibogue sound and the ocean. Harbortown yacht basin is just minutes away.

Wonderful Week End

  • 5 of 5

Three High School Girl Friends getaway! We had such a relaxing stay at this waterfront home.

The house is well appointed and comfortable beds. The best part is the outdoor living and the outstanding views of the May River. Our host was very accommodating and gracious in every way! We would stay again.

Location and Views!

  • 5 of 5

We spent a long weekend at this home while we visited for a wedding. This was our (and our dogs) first time to the area - what a gem of a location! Old Town Bluffton is just down the street - walk to great shops and restaurants. We often travel with our fur children and were happy to find the town and people so dog friendly.

The views of the May River are amazing, unfortunately we were so busy with the wedding we only had time to enjoy one sunset ;( We did pack our kayaks and spent a few hours paddling the river - an easy launch off the dock - be sure to check the tides!

If you are looking for a quaint home with great views and location this is home is the place to be!

We hope to return next year so we can spend more time enjoying the views and area.

Thanks Patrick for sharing your home with us.....

2nd year, same place

  • 5 of 5

This will be our 2nd year at this location. We booked it again in June due to the excellant location, quiet neighborhood, extremely cooperative landlord, and excellant accomodations. This will be our third year fishing with Papa Bear Charters on Hilton Head and this rental makes the entire trip a joy. The location makes getting anywhere in the Bluffton/Beaufort/Hilton Head easy. And the sunsets can't be beat!! You can be as active or inactive as you wish, there is a lot to do and see.
