very convenient location!

  • 4 of 5

the condo is great. enough space for large family. walking to the slopes made it very convenient. The only thing missing was a hot tub to soak in after the long day of skiing!

Couldn't ask for anything more.....

  • 5 of 5

Our great experience started from the moment I sent an email inquiring about the condo. I received a response within 30 minutes with all my questions answered and more which allowed me to make my decision to reserve right away. Once our final payment was received an immediate email came with very detailed information on how to get to condo, how to enter parking garage, how to access ski locker, restaurants in the area, things to do in the area and much much more.

We were very excited to arrive and once we did it was so much better than we even expected. The condo is very spacious, clean and well equipped, it's has flat screen TV's, all kitchen utensils needed, humidifiers for the rooms, fans for the rooms, hangers in the closets and plenty of towels. The location of this condo is as close to perfect as they come, when your ready to go hit the mountain you take the elevator down walk out the back door, pick up your skis from the ski locker and your on the Gondola in less than 1 minute you can't ask for more than that...well another plus is the liquor store right outside the buildings front door and they deliver :)) I would highly recommend staying here for anyone's next trip to Vail, I personally look forward to returning next year and for years to come.

Perfect Spot to Stay in Vail

  • 5 of 5

I loved this condo in Lionshead. It could not have been more conveniently located - right in Lionshead Village next to the Gondola. The simplicity of the condo made for a perfect rental. It was very clean and nice with all the amenities that you need. I would definitely return and stay at the same unit.

Cannot wait to return

  • 5 of 5

The convenience of this condo cannot be overstated. Located steps from the Eagle Bahn Gondola and Born Free lift you can literally ski back to within 15 steps of your gigantic private ski locker. You are in the heart of Lionshead Village which has all of the shops and restaurants you will need. If you are looking for a little more variety, take the convenient and free village to village shuttle to the main Vail Village.

The condo itself is the largest I have been in at this price point. There is a full size kitchen that is well appointed if you choose to dine in. City Market is only a few miles down the road. There is also a small market in Lionshead.

The beds are the most comfortable I have been in for a rental. No expense was spared there.

The TVs have been upgraded compared to the pictures and there is a DVD player with a good blend of movies for a quiet night in.

The storage space is amazing. In fact, there were so many places to store clothes I actually forgot some and Elizabeth graciously agreed to mail it to me!

The whole process was seamless and Elizabeth was communicative and easy to work with.

I cannot wait to return!

Can't beat the location

  • 5 of 5

I stayed in this condo with two buddies and we had a blast. First of all, the location cannot be beat. We carried our gear down stairs and were able to ski onto the gondola or the quad-lift in 30 seconds. Lionshead is a bit less chaotic than Vail Village, so the lines to get onto those lifts never took more than 4-5 minutes (sometimes there were no lines at all). There is plenty to eat and do in Lionshead, and Vail Village is a very short ride on the free bus, or by car.

The condo is clean and rustic (it reminds me of an "lodge"), and was very comfortable for my group. The three separate beds were perfect. The terrace was terrific, as well (we were able to unwind outside with a drink). I will certainly look to stay here again on my next trip to Vail.

Location Location

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this condo for 5 nights over New Years 2014. The location is so awesome; right in the heart of Lionshead! It was so convenient to walk 50 yards to drop the kids at ski school & then come back to finish my coffee, gear up and still make it on the chairlift by 9AM! There is a ski locker downstairs to easily store gear right next to the Born Free Lift and not schlep it upstairs. In the evenings, tons of restaurants and shops were right outside the building door for our enjoyment, even an ice skating rink and awesome playground for the kids were a couple 100 yards away. The condo itself is fine. It is sparsely decorated, but still homey. Really all I care about is cleanliness and mattress comfort and both areas did not disappoint. The bedrooms are larger than they appear in the photos. We set up "palettes" on the floor with extra blankets (provided) for the kids to sleep on and still had ample space to walk around them.

We cooked breakfast in the condo and ate out all dinners (except prepping some basics for the kids.) The kitchen was clean (!!) and well equipped. Our only three "issues" are as follows: (1.) When we arrived another tenant was parked in our reserved spot. One text to Elizabeth, and she had notified the building manager who accommodated us with the "30-minute" spot and ticketed the car. We left our car in the temp spot throughout the next day while we skied and moved it the following evening to our vacated spot. (2.) When we arrived the cable/internet service was out. Unfortunately it could not be fixed that evening (there were playoff football games on! The horror! ;), despite an hour of effort by my tech-savvy husband and brother. The following day, Elizabeth had the building maintenance team come in with a new modem and fix the problem. It was a little inconvenient, but in the end it's the skiing that matters, right?! (3.) Elizabeth did provide some emailed documents prior to our arrival that had great directions to find the condo, gate & door codes, as well as contact numbers. However our group felt there should be a binder with additional info in the condo similar to those at other VRBO properties. Helpful info would have included: laundry is 50 cents (I went on a hunt for a roll of quarters in Lionshead prior to doing wash rather than realizing I could just open my change purse for 4 quarters!), there is a heated pool available for use off the garage, favorite restaurants, etc.

Owner's Response: Anne!! Thank you so much for taking the time to provide such helpful review!! Wanted to especially thank you and your family for your patience as we worked out the tv and parking issues. We try to ensure that all visits are as smooth as possible, and we are very grateful that you were so gracious as we worked on finding quick solutions the tv and parking issues. Also wanted to thank you so much for suggesting a binder for future guests. Excellent idea that will be implemented! If you can share any more tips or favorites of yours, we would love to include them!! We are thankful that you chose to stay with us!! We agree that it is a dynamite location that makes getting to and from the slopes so easy and more fun! You can spend your energy on the slopes vs. walking to them ;) Thank you again for taking the time to make suggestions to improve our place and most importantly, to improve the experience of our future guests!!!!!
