I grew up in nearby Geneva and have spent part of every summer at the cottage since I was a child. My wife and I have degrees from Alfred University and SUNY Geneseo. Our family has many warm and special memories from times spent at the cottage.
Richard purchased this Cottage in 2001
Why Richard chose Geneva
This property has been in my family since the 1930s. This area on the east shore of Seneca Lake once was a large park with a dance pavilion and picnic areas known as Pastime Park. It was divided and sold to individuals in the 1930's, and remains a secluded, private area just 5 miles from Geneva.
What makes this Cottage unique
Being on the east shore of the lake, the sun filters through the trees in the morning, and shade lingers on parts of the lawn during the day. Refreshing breezes may blow across the water until late afternoon. Typically, there are beautiful, quiet sunsets in the evening.
Wonderful! We'd go back in a heartbeat.
Peaceful, relaxing, quiet, close to many activities. Nice touches by owners made travel easier for us. We loved the swimming, kayaking, and just being outside while we were there. The sunsets were gorgeous.
Loved loved this getaway location❤️ Lake Seneca is beautiful !
Richard was fabulous from start to finish. The cottage is quaint, clean and up to date with all the needed amenities. We arrived and pleasantly surprised with the goodies for breakfast and snacks. Everything was comfy from start to finish. We were there for a wedding so most of our time was spent in all the festivities. We did golf and toured the area hopefully for a return visit. It was just what the doctored ordered for a getaway with my husband. It happened to be our 33rd wedding anniversary too! Thanks Richard for a fabulous stay !
We had a lovely time at this cottage!
Everything we needed for a comfortable stay was provided, even a Keurig coffee maker besides a regular one.
We also enjoyed the Canoe and the Kayaks.
The location is very convenient, secluded, but close to Geneva for shopping, dining etc.
We can highly recommend this cottage!
My wife and I very much enjoyed our stay at the Seneca Lake cottage in Geneva.
The cottage was everything that we had hoped for. It was very well maintained and very clean. It had a great view of the lake and was situated in a very quiet area. It was also located very close to many destinations that we wanted to visit.
Finger Lakin' Good
This cottage was modern, fresh and clean. Attention to detail was evident in every corner of the property inside and out. The location was beautiful and private along a lovely little stretch of community along the east side of Seneca Lake. It was clear the owners want their guests to have the best of everything and to want for nothing. So fun and relaxing.
Lovely cottage with beautiful view!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this enchanting cottage on Seneca Lake. The water view (sunsets!) & lake access was wonderful. The deck is expansive & where we ate most of our meals. Plenty of fresh soft towels/linens are provided and the kitchen is well equipped. We appreciated the milk/juice/eggs etc provided as well as all the other little specialty items for guest use. The location was perfect for us to explore the local wineries & even a day trip to Niagara Falls.
Check-in time is 3PM, and check-out is no later than 11AM.
There are many wineries nearby that offer tastings and tours. Also nearby are 3 state parks: Seneca Lake State Park, Sampson State Park, and Cayuga State Park. The National Women's Hall of Fame which is a national historic site, The Finger Lakes National Forest, and Rose Hill Mansion are all within a half hour drive. Beautiful Seneca Lake is the deepest of the Finger Lakes and offers swimming, boating, fishing, and spectacular sunsets.
