About Kathleen Tees and Michael Wageck

Mike & Kathleen have lived in Grand County for 20 years. Their love of the outdoors brought them to this site to build this home in 2003. We love outdoor sports such as fishing, kayaking, snowshoeing, cross country skiing and golfing. We love this home all seasons of the year but fall is the most spectacular due to the beautiful changing aspen trees.

Kathleen Tees and Michael Wageck purchased this house in 2004

Why Kathleen Tees and Michael Wageck chose Northwest

We chose this piece of property because of it's sunny location. Abundance of aspen & pine forest attracted us to this secluded location.

What makes this house unique

The home is a newer ranch style. The space is very comfortable and makes for easy living. The great room sits in the middle with ceilings 18 feet high with stripped trees reaching the height of the great room and running through the ceiling. Floor to ceiling windows provide great mountain views and sunsets. The bedrooms sit on either side of the great room with a bathroom adjacent to both.

Beautiful home!

The house was very well decorated. The view was great. The house was a little out of the way, but easily found with a GPS or the printed directions provided. We saw a herd of 60+ elk, and one moose. We also appreciated the quality of items provided from the pots & pans to the shampoo. This was the best VRBO we have stayed at.

Cute and cozy and super clean!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at this great little house. Everything was clean and ready for us. The heat was on to make it comfortable when we arrived. The beds were comfy and the kitchen was great. It was so nice to have a nicely stocked kitchen with the little extras. We loved our trip! Lots of snowshoeing and great weather. Would love to come back again.

The property looks just like it does in the pictures. The kitchen and bathrooms are very nice. Tub in master bath in particular! The kitchen has just about everything you could need for cooking a nice meal. The porch and views are spectacular. Nestled in the woods, and complete silence outside. It was the perfect getaway for two (or four). So close to Grand Lake (such a cute little town) and RMNP. Couldn't have picked a better place! Owners very easy and pleasant to deal with.

loved loved loved this home in Granby!

  • 5 of 5

We spent a week at this beautiful home, the house is warm, inviting, relaxing and cozy. It's located in a very quiet area and we loved setting on the deck and looking at the beautiful fall foliage. The entrance to Rocky Mountain national Park was right down the road. We made several trips to the park, as well as to Estes, Grand lake and several places west of Granby. Visited the Badger Badin Wildlife area, We drove 40 west from Granby to Walden, had lunch at the Moose Creek Café, took unpaved road where we found moose. Was beautiful house and awesome place to stay,

This was the fourth year in a row for my wife and I and the third year in a row for my in laws. Once again Mike and Kathleen opened up there home to us and once again we weren't disappointed. Everything was just like we left it a year ago. The home was cozy, the colors were brilliant and the wild life was plentiful. They have a red fox that comes up the back porch every morning. I can only assume people are feeding him. If you get he urge just remember that feeding the wildlife only hurts them. We named him "boots" because of his black legs. He truly is a handsome animal. We are already excited to come back next fall to see what adventures await us.

Owner's Response: Many guests return year after year. The things that bring them are the fall colors, the wonderful snow sports, summer hiking in Rocky Mtn National Park, boating on the Great Lakes of Colorado. You can't go wrong visiting here!
