I have considered Bigfork my second home for over a decade. It is truly the jewel of Northwest Montana with unparalleled beauty, fine dining, and friendly people.

What makes this house unique

'The Sunset House' is aptly named not only because it is located on Sunset Drive, but also because of the ever-changing spectacular sunsets which can be enjoyed from the living & dining rooms, kitchen, upper and lower decks, as well as the master bedroom. The Sunset House is located within walking distance of downtown Bigfork and its many fabulous restaurants, art galleries, boutiques and live theater.

Ideal location on the east shore of Flathead Lake

This is a beautiful, well appointed home right on the lakefront. The house itself seems fairly new and the deck/dock are well constructed. The dock is literally 20 feet away from the deck and we really enjoyed the outdoor space.

Thing I thought were especially nice about the house:

- Spacious outdoor BBQ -- we cooked almost every night outside to enjoy the warm weather and sunset

- Lots of outdoor furniture, umbrella, and nicely shaded by trees on both sides of the deck

- Gated outdoor entryway at the front of the house with lots of room and protected from the wind to store SUPs/kayaks when you're not using them

- When you're sitting on the dock, you have a beautiful 180 degree view of the lake.

The neighborhood is located just off the main highway that leads to Bigfork and is bordered on one side by Wayfarers SP so there is no through traffic. Downtown Bigfork and the supermarket are a short 2-3 min drive away.

Tara and Michelle were very communicative and accommodating for some of the special needs for our stay. I would definitely consider staying here again if I return to Flathead Lake.

Gorgeous, fully equipped and perfect location!

We had an absolute ball staying in this beautiful home! It is gorgeous, perfectly appointed, and the location is incredible. We enjoyed swimming, SUP'ing, and boating right off the dock. And loved that we could easily walk to town! Hope to come back again! The Larsson family

Fantastic vacation home with every amenity on beautiful lakefront

We had a wonderful stay at Bell's of Bigfork during early August 2016. The home is exceptional with the perfect space for my husband and I and our two adult children. The views of the lake are outstanding, and the decks overlooking the water so inviting. We spent several days at Glacier NP and also did two nearby hikes in the Bigfork area, sailed on Flathead lake, rode horses at Flathead lake lodge, shopped, dined, and soaked in the fabulous weather and beautiful surroundings. We highly recommend this place and would love to return someday!

Beautiful

What a beautiful vacation home! We arrived at the house just before sunset and were welcomed with champagne and cupcakes. We entered into a room with multiple windows facing the lake. Our first evening (and several after that) we spent on the balcony overlooking Flathead Lake. The sunset was spectacular and different every evening. The property was very clean, well kept and just as described. Everything in the house was top notch-from the toilet paper to the appliances. The location couldn't be better. It is just a short walk into town for breakfast, lunch or shopping. The lake was calm most days, perfect for boating or kayaking which can be rented nearby. We took a drive to Glacier National Park and also to the Bison Reserve. Both were well worth the trip. For anyone worried about the owner, my adult daughters met her just by chance one day. If it had not been for that we would not have known she was nearby. She respects your privacy and your time in her home. We did not have any "customer service" issues but I did have a couple of questions which were answered very quickly. All in all we had a wonderful vacation and would not hesitate to stay here again (or forever!)

Notes:
Sporadically throughout the year, while the main house is occupied the owner (a former concierge who lives out of state) stays in a private self-sustained suite on the property. Because of many years in the luxury hotel industry, the owner recognizes the importance of occasionally inspecting the home (when unoccupied of course) to keep up with the high standards she has set. We feel the advantage to our guests in maintaining a clean, organized and amenity-filled “home away from home” with any needs responded to promptly is paramount.
