Situated in the historic center of Bordeaux, with a view over the 'fairytale castle' of Porte Cailhau, The Key to Bordeaux is very close to the river and the famous Place de la Bourse.

This two bedroom apartment is spacious (80 sq meters). There is one double bed in the main bedroom and two singles in the second bedroom, plus a fold-out day bed in the main bedroom which sleeps two. Amenities include an elevator, dishwasher and washing machine, Wi-Fi, Cable TV and free telephone calls to most countries.

The apartment is in a quiet street, very close to the river. In the surrounding area are numerous restaurants, cafes, wine shops and small boutiques.

To reach other areas in the city, you need only walk for a couple of minutes to the tram stop, and the line will take you to the main train station and many other significant locations in the city.

It is rare to find a spacious, two bedroom apartment that is so centrally located.

We loved the romance of being able to look out at the 'fairytale castle' Porte Cailhau; the apartment is large, with high ceilings and in a traditional French style, and we can step out and go to a wide variety of restaurants within meters of the front door.

Authentic experience, very clean apartment

- Very clean

- Well-equipped, even has laundry tablets, dish detergent etc.

- View out one of the windows in the living room is what you see in the photo, is indeed very romantic

- Quieter neighbourhood, supermarket just 30 secs away, many bakeries nearby (husband went to a different one every morning and they were just a few minutes walk)

- Walk to the main tourists spots

- wifi works very well

- Staying amongst local french neighbours, makes for an authentic experience.

- Very efficient check-in and out.

Suggestions:

- Apartment needs a little investment - desperately need new kitchen knives, brighter lights and/or more lighting, fixing of cracks in the walls etc.

- Nearest carpark - Saliniere - is a 10 minute walk through "less scenic" neighbourhood along the tram tracks, best pick another close enough one

Great location, comfortable beds, all amenities available. Would stay again.

Family of 4, stayed 4 nights in July.

Fab location, historic district. Arrangements with Charlotte for access and departure went smoothly. Fans in bedroom to help circulate air. Comfortable beds. Washing machine was a great plus. Well equipped kitchen. We wanted for nothing. Would definitely stay again. Thank you!!

Great location and spacious, very clean apartment

We really enjoyed our time in Bordeaux and eloping the surrounding wine country. The apartment suited us very well. There are 2 good size bedrooms, and a nice living area. The kitchen is very well equipped as well.

The staff we worked with were all very accommodating and very nice people.

It is close to the river and also convenient to many restaurants, wine bars, and a grocery store. It is not quite as convenient to the bus or train, but trams are nearby if you need them. We like to do a lot of walking, and central Bordeaux is very good for that. All in all, we highly recommend the apartment.

The Key to Bordeaux apartment is an ideal base for sightseeing. It is located in the heart of the historic center of the city, close to the Place de la Bourse, and just one street back from the river.

Within meters of the apartment building, along cobbled streets are top-class restaurants, as well as bistros, bars and cafes. There is even a gelato bar and great little wine bar right opposite.

The linear park along the river front is within metres of the apartment, and is a hive of activity - walking, cycling, picnics on the grass, dance classes, and frequent markets. Every Saturday there is a huge open air food market at nearby St Michel, and on Sundays on along the riverfront is the biggest antiques market in the region.

The apartment is also close to Rue St Catherine - the longest pedestrian shopping street in Europe - museums, art galleries and the famous Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux.

Further afield you can visit famous vineyards and elegant châteaux; pretty villages and the beautiful beaches surrounding the Bay of Arcachon.
