great get away condo.
What a lovely condo and so convenient to so many venues. I'll be using it again. Just need an excuse.
What was formerly a single condo has been divided into two rental units, each with a front door. We stayed for two months in the larger of the two subdivisions (roughly two thirds). Our side had the hot water heater and the circuit breaker. The other side had the cable modem and router. There were occasions when friendly teamwork with the other side was required.
This place surely has a lot to recommend it: comfortable beds, nice “Pinetoppy” furnishings, new appliances, convenient parking, and above all, location, location, location: a wonderful, level, half-mile walking/bicycling/scooter-riding street loop right outside the front door. I believe that the owner hasn’t had the place all that long and is gradually making improvements. Two such improvements should be next in line:
The traffic areas of the carpets need professional cleaning, or the carpeting should possibly be torn out.
There is a stiff, hard-to-control faucet in the tub/shower combination, and the transition between hot and cold water is very narrow. In fact, the first time I went to take a shower I very nearly burned myself and had to scramble out of the tub quickly. Over the weeks of our stay, I learned to adjust the stiff faucet and run the water each time until I was sure I knew how hot it would become. Then a visiting son figured out how to turn the heater temperature down from 150 to 135, and that felt a lot safer.
Two more notes: after a thunderstorm, we were without internet for an entire week before Frontier came out to restore it. I don’t know how that company compares with others that service this area.
Out of the owner’s control was the painting of the exterior of the building at the end of our stay. In addition to the usual inconveniences (covered-over windows and door, and tripping hazards), on our very last afternoon in Cozy Condo, without warning, the painting crew started up a blower outside our open windows, and the condo filled with gas fumes. It was an unfortunate farewell.
Perfect location for wedding at The Gathering
The condo was clean, efficient and perfect size! Tina was quick to respond to any questions I had. We enjoyed our weekend!
Great property. Very clean and cozy. Would stay again.
Very nice & easy access for elderly... beautifu, cozy condo~ great location.
This is a perfect place for those wanting a homey atmosphere to put their feet up and relax, or go into town to view the sights. Also, great for golf, attending weddings, and enjoying the great outdoors in beautiful Pinetop, AZ.
Perfect weekend getaway!
Came up to get out of the heat with our 2 kids. Perfect location up in the pines. Would be great in wintertime too...really close to Sunrise. Plenty of blankets and fuzzy warm stuff. Awesome appliances.
The owner couldn't have been nicer!
