Gregory L Weed
About Gregory L Weed
We grew up traveling to Vermont and hoped one day we would have a place of our own. While vacationing this summer we came across this well kept Chalet.
Gregory L Weed purchased this Chalet in 2016

Warm and inviting cabin. Clean and comfortable.
We had 3 generations so five people from 10-80 years. Plenty of space, bright lighting for the cloudy days. Close enough to Okemo and Killington but off the beaten path to be away from crowds. Gregory was very informative and house was well equipped. I loved that kitchen cabinets were labeled-makes it much easier! We'd visit again any season.
A cozy cabin
Black River Chalet was very nice. Despite the very cold outdoor temperatures we were warm inside. Our party of 6 was very comfortable in the space and we had all that we needed. We enjoyed the unique furnishings and decorations, and we impressed with the handiwork. I was glad that I packed all the food items we needed: flour, sugar, oil, dressings, etc in addition to the main ingredients I planned to cook with. There are plenty of pots, pans and dishes to work with. There are some games available, and handy maps and information about area attractions. This is a great place, and convenient location to many of Vermont's attractions.
Amazing! Can't wait to go back.
This place is amazing. My boyfriend and I took our dog with us for a 4 day get away and didn't want to leave! Everything was clean and neat when we arrived and Greg even checked in with us to make sure everything was going well. The proximity to Okemo and Killington means that you will never eat at the same place twice for dinner. Long Trail brewery is about 10 minutes away and the drive there is gorgeous. There are tons of trails and hiking opportunities nearby. I highly recommend Echo Lake Vista - the views are breath taking! Since it was off season we were able to drive to the top of Okemo and get some amazing photos. Everywhere you go in Plymouth is straight out of a post card. Checking out the town of Woodstock is also a must and might be the most dog friendly place we have ever been.
Unlike a lot of other places in VT- you are pretty close to a super market, wine/beer store, pharmacy etc. The wifi at the house was a huge plus! We made breakfast for ourselves every morning and sat outside on the deck enjoying the lovely fall foliage. The king size bed was dangerously comfy and the couches in the living room were very cozy. The entire home just induces relaxation!
I really can't say enough about this place! It felt like we had a castle just for the two of us. We never once ran out of new places to see, trails to hike or restaurants to enjoy. The only downside to the chalet is that you eventually have to leave. We can't wait to go back!
We had a great time staying at Greg's house in Plymouth. It was exactly as pictured and clean, cozy, comfortable and set up perfectly for a group of people. We will definitely be back in the future.
Small hill to climb but well worth it
The chalet was a great place to stay. It fit my party of 8 very comfortably. Greg is a great guy who was very responsive was checking in on me throughout the stay and tried to help take care of any small issue that came up. I would recommend a stay at the chalet if you plan on going to Killington/Okemo. We went to Killington for skiing and dinner and it was an easy 20 minute ride to and from the mountain. Woodstock is beautiful little town 30 minutes from there and it is 10 minutes from Long Trail which was awesome for apres ski. I would recommend someone to stay at the chalet and I would do the same again.
Charming, cozy ,well organized and very clean house!
We spend wonderful time in this place.
