Great Home, Great Owner

  • 5 of 5

My Wife, 3 kids and their spouses, 3 grandkids and I traveled to Wisconsin for a Packer Game. We stayed at this beautiful house for 3 nights and had a wonderful time. The house was perfect for our large group. Plenty of room to spread out, big bedrooms, well stocked kitchen, beautiful view of the lake, large lot for the kids. The sunrises were as gorgeous as advertised.

Had a great fish fry in Algoma, grocery store is close and convenient, nights outside by the fire, nice path to a lake, and Judy couldn't of been more enjoyable to work with. The drive to Green Bay was a very easy drive. Next time we come back for a Packer game, or just to vacation in Wisconsin, I will definitely be staying here again.

Beautiful home; beautiful view of the lake.

  • 5 of 5

We truly enjoyed our 3 day weekend at this beautiful home. There were 8 adults, 2 children and 2 dogs and there was plenty of room for all of us to spread out and relax. Nice big rooms and tons of dishes in the kitchen for us to use. We like to cook all of our meals when we stay at a rental home and there was plenty of dishes, pots and pans, etc. Nice big yard and the view of the lake was awesome. There was lots of room to play a game of softball and for bike riding around the driveway. Took the short walk down to the beach several times. Water was high and it was windy but some of our group were still able to walk along the beach. Plenty of room in the living room to play our games. Even the 9 month old had fun playing "hot potatoe"!

The short trip to Algoma to check out von Stiehl winery was nice. Very friendly people there. And of course we had to stop at Kewaunee Custard which was very good also!

Judith was very prompt in getting back to me when I first emailed her regarding availability/quote.

Had a very nice time at this property and hated to leave!

Almost forgot! My 6 year old granddaughter found the spooky wireman in the yard! Looks cool when the sun is shining on him, or her!

A wonderful family retreat

  • 5 of 5

We had the pleasure of staying at this fantastic home for a week visit in August. It exceeded our expectations in every way - not easy given the photos and all the prior positive reviews. Each contingent of our three generation family (from 9 months to 65 years young) was able to enjoy themselves - either together as a group or independently. From swimming at the lake, to playing kickball on the massive lawn and to doing absolutely nothing but soak in the view from the deck, it was a perfect 10. We hope to come back in the future.

And one word about the owner: Judy is exceptional and wonderfully responsive. The oven had a small maintenance issue and within a matter of hours, someone was over to solve the problem. Amazing!

If I could give this place six stars, I would. I cannot recommend this home any more!

Beautiful home with amazing views!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this wonderful house for a long weekend in July. It was the most beautiful home! The large windows and high elevation of the home make for some of the most stunning views of the lake imaginable! The home was also well equipped with lots of sleeping space and places for peace and quiet even with a large group -we were 12, including 4 young kids! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our own meals to enjoy as a family -and we love to cook! The large property with a path to the lake, a fire pit, and lots of room for after dinner strolls was much enjoyed! The kids loved being able to walk down to the lake each day and play in the waves of our own personal beach! Judy is easy to work with, honest, and very sweet. I would highly recommend this home for families or couples who love nature and are looking for a relaxing get away!

Beautiful, Idyllic Labor Day weekend!

  • 5 of 5

We had the most beautiful stay in this house overlooking Lake Michigan! There was more than enough room for all 9 of us and our three dogs - with a beautiful large kitchen with all of the ammenities and a sitting room that had been thoughtfully arranged to accommodate space for reading by the fire, playing a game (or three!) and watching a movie all at once!

The back deck was glorious, featuring beautiful views of the lake that we couldn't tear ourselves away from for most of the weekend, and a perfect large table with plenty of seating for enjoying breakfast/lunch/dinner. There was an equally large table inside for indoor dining - but why would you with such a wonderful deck?!

The walk down to the lake was easy and short, and though the lake was high this year we were still able to pick our way along and find a soft sandy beach to sit on and swim out into the lake from just a few minutes walk down the beach.

We saw plenty of bald eagles and wildlife - and the grounds of the house were impeccably maintained with 2 fire pits, plenty of space to run and play, and picnic tables in all the perfect locations.

Highlights of our trip included: beach walks every day, with millions of stones to skip and driftwood to toss for the pups, beautiful sunrises (and general sweeping views) over the lake with a cup of coffee, a WONDERFUL steam shower in the upstairs bedroom that was the perfect anecdote to a long beach walk on a chilly foggy morning, plenty of places to congregate together to chat and enjoy eachother, a beautiful fireplace in the great room with super soft plushy rug underfoot, and easy proximity to the nearby town - with DELICIOUS Kewaunee Custard (try a burger and a malt, or the cashew caramel!), a 1$ tour of the historic Tug Luddington, a fun and varied antique mall to putter around on a rainy day, and easy grocery shopping to restock the cupboards.

Judy was helpful and easy to contact (but we had no need to!) the house was clean and well maintained, and everything was exactly as promised. We couldn't have been happier with our stay, will definitely be back if we can!

Owner's Response: I am so happy your friends and family enjoyed the lake house vacation. I lived there for 12 years and loved it so much and it brings me joy to hear how you too delight in all that nature offers there. The living room view is a picture postcard all year long! The deck extends that to 3 seasons of lakeside joy. Thank You for your review and I look forward to you coming again. It is a year around vacation home!

Christmas Vacation

  • 5 of 5

Great place to stay. We brought the family to go to the Steelers/Packers game, shop, and go downhill tubing. Convenient location with an awesome view right on Lake Michigan. 20-25 minutes to Green Bay, and close to town, but yet very secluded among tall pine trees. The property listing is spot on, and very accurate. Would be an awesome place to vacation in the summer as well. Everyone had a great time.
