About Sondra Reed
Jerry and Sondra had always dreamed of having property on the Little Red River and July 2016 that dream came true. They found this beautiful cozy cabin in need lots of TLC which they had plenty of to give. Residents of Heber Springs, AR, Jerry is a local pharmacist and Sondra is a physical therapist assistant working at a nursing home in Heber Springs. Jerry proposed to Sondra on the Little Red River which started their first adventure. Now they are excited to start another adventure being owners of "The Cabin at Wildflower". They hope you fall in love with their cabin as much as they have.
Sondra Reed purchased this Cabin in 2016
Why Sondra Reed chose Heber Springs
Located in a beautiful private subdivision, its off the grid and secluded. Take sight seeing walks or the bikes and start your adventure down to the beautiful 20 acre lake in which there is a 2 man boat awaiting for you to catch some bass, catfish or crappie or just watch the geese swim in the lake. This property is private and peaceful. The cabin has 202 feet of river front with your own private boat dock that provides gorgeous views of the Libby bluffs. Boat dock has a sink to assist with cleaning your catch of the day. Provided at the dock is a fish cleaning kit, cutting board, binoculars, paper towels etc.

This was the perfect cabin for a great weekend trip! In fact, we wish we could have stayed longer. There were so many indoor and outdoor amenities. The kayaks and canoe were so fun and easy to get in and out of the water. Wood was provided which made having a campfire super easy. We enjoyed fishing for trout off of the dock. We caught a few brown and rainbow trout. We hope to come back!

Tranquility On The River!
When I search for a property on VRBO, not only do I consider the rental price but I also consider the investment of our time planned for a relaxing vacation.
The Cabin at Wildflower exceeded our expectations in every aspect. The cabin was prepared for our arrival better than we have ever experienced in a rental. The Reeds have thought of every detail to make the stay quiet, comfortable, clean and convenient. Thank you very much for sharing your property with us.
The Heber Springs area is a great place to visit. The crowds are minimal, the scenery is fantastic and there are plenty of great restaurants to choose from.
Thank you very much for taking time to review your stay at our cabin. You guys were wonderful guests and it was our pleasure to share our cabin with you and your wife.

Heber Springs, founded as a health resort and first called Sugar Loaf in the mid-19th century, now serves as a gateway to Greers Ferry Lake and the Little Red River. U.S. Corps of Engineers completed the 31,500-acre lake in 1963 and President John F. Kennedy came to Heber Springs in October of that year for the dedication. The historic downtown district includes a stately county courthouse with traditional square, a museum, antique shops, Art galleries, restored theater now called the Gem theater which shows new release movies and Spring Park, with its mineral springs that attracted the original settlers. Greers Ferry Lake is known for great fishing and water recreation. Below the massive Corps of Engineers Dam, the Little Red River is internationally known as the home of the world-record (40-pound, 4-ounce) brown trout. The lake and river have served as national models for environmental cleanliness and a staple for Arkansas beauty. Visit our local shops, Climb Sugar Loaf Mountain, try our parks and trails and our quaint coffee shops and restaurants. Just minutes from The Cabin at Wildflower, downtown Heber Springs has lots to offer.
More about Lake life.....Heber Springs is famous for being an epicenter for the Greers Ferry Lake in the beautiful Qzark Mountains of north-central Arkansas. Hikers enjoy the area's three National Nature trails and one multi-purpose fitness trail. With over 30,000 acres of water surface, the lake is your playground.
If you need to take a break from the lake and river you can enjoy the numerous art galleries that Heber Springs has to offer.
