About the property

House, 3 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 7-10)

Experience the uniqueness of the Lower Keys while staying in a spacious, three-bedroom, private home on Big Pine Key, home of the famous and rare Key Deer - tiny white-tail deer that roam the unspoiled tropical wilderness. Far from being overcrowded, the pace of life on Big Pine Key is casual and relaxed.

Enjoy fabulous fishing, boating, diving, snorkeling, or just relaxing. Only a short boat ride to ocean and back country access for excellent fishing, spectacular bird watching, and peaceful sea kayaking. Very nearby are boat and jet-ski rentals, restaurants, Sombrero Beach, and Bahia Honda State Park, voted one of the most beautiful beaches in the USA. Only 30 minutes to Key West and just a short distance to Looe Key reef, one of the best diving areas in North America.

This fabulous home is located on a deep water canal that is great for swimming. The property has a 75-foot seawall with up-to-date bumpers, a fish cleaning station, and an outside fresh water shower. Our 1760-square-foot home has central air and a tiled southern exposure screened porch, a large and open dining and living area, as well as a modern kitchen with top of the line stainless appliances and beautiful natural maple cabinets. The master suite, decorated in brand new wicker furniture, includes a king-size bed, a custom two-person tiled shower, and a his and her vanity. There are ceiling fans throughout the home and a fenced yard that is perfect for wandering children and security.

Anything that is associated with the ocean is within easy reach. Strike Zone Charters is within walking distance of the house for your diving, snorkeling, and charter fishing needs. One of the few groceries in the Lower Keys is within one mile. A perfect day is tying up to the reef at Looe Key and diving or snorkeling and then having a picnic lunch on the water.

Perfect

  • 5 of 5

Our family met on Big Pine Key for Christmas. This was the perfect house to rendezvous. The canal was perfect for swimming. We did not rent a boat but the dock and deep canal would make a boat docking easy. The neighbors were helpful. The owners were very quick to respond when the AC malfunctioned. There were plenty of towels and sheets. The kitchen is fully stocked: we always found what we needed for cooking. The neighborhood is great. Because we stayed over Christmas we were treated to the buggy parade. We would definitely rent this house again. The screened-in porch overlooking the canal was a dream: without it, the no-see-ums would have driven us indoors for the duration.

BEAUTIFUL HOME GREAT NEIGHBORS GOOD LOCATION

  • 5 of 5

This home is beautiful with an large kitchen, appliances like new and great AC. The screened in porch was nice for sitting outside day or night. The storage area under the house is very useful for all of our gear. There is a boat dock that is nice and deep with easy access to the ocean. The neighbors are friendly as well as the deer which we all enjoyed watching. It's close to KeyWest. This is a quiet neighborhood and not too crowded and we would definitly rent it again.

Love the location, love the house!

  • 4 of 5

What an amazing time we had! We loved staying at your place!! Centrally located, close to the most beautiful beach in Florida, close to Key West...it was perfect! Although we didn't have a large group, it would be perfect for a family or group of friends to stay.

Perfect Vacation Spot

  • 5 of 5

I stayed here with friends this past March to escape from the terrible winter we were having. It was wonderful.

The openness of the layout makes it easy for everyone to spend time together even while some watch TV, read a book, or cook dinner. The kitchen was more well-stocked than my kitchen at home! We had the tools and necessary equipment to cook everything we wanted.

The sliding glass doors from the living room to the porch let in lots of natural light. My favorite part of the house is the screened in porch! The porch allowed us to be outside in the warmth without being directly in the sun and we could avoid the annoyance of bugs.

It was easy to get anywhere on the island from the house. The Winn Dixie is close by, which was nice for getting groceries.

I would definitely recommend this house to friends and would stay here again!

Great house in a great place!

  • 4 of 5

This house was great. The great room floor plan made the whole house seem very spacious. Excellent kitchen. Three sets of sliding doors that open out to a screened porch let in lots of fresh air. The master bath has double sinks and a double shower that we appreciated. Extra space under the house stored multiple bikes, kayaks and beach supplies. Easy bike ride to grocery, great fruit stand and shops. We were there mid-January to mid-February and the weather was mostly sunny and very warm. Great place to get away from winter. I would rent again.
